Position Summary
The Software Engineer / Healthcare Integration Developer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting software applications and healthcare integration solutions that improve operational performance, streamline workflows, and enable secure, reliable data exchange across healthcare platforms. This individual will collaborate closely with hospice care teams, clinical staff, operations leaders, customer service representatives, delivery personnel, billing teams, and external healthcare partners to develop solutions that enhance patient care, improve operational efficiency, and support regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Software Development &amp; Engineering<ul><li>Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain healthcare software applications using PHP, Laravel, SQL, JavaScript, and related technologies.</li><li>Build scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions that support business operations, clinical workflows, and customer-facing applications.</li><li>Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, documentation, and support.</li><li>Develop reporting, automation, and workflow optimization solutions that improve productivity and service delivery. Healthcare Integration &amp; Interoperability</li><li>Design, implement, and support RESTful APIs and system integrations connecting internal applications with healthcare platforms such as Epic, Netsmart, MatrixCare, Hospice Tools, and other healthcare technologies.</li><li>Develop and maintain HL7-based interoperability solutions and healthcare data exchange processes.</li><li>Analyze data flow requirements and ensure the secure, accurate, and timely exchange of patient, clinical, operational, and billing information.</li><li>Troubleshoot integration issues and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve data and workflow challenges.</li></ul>
