 EXP Arabia is seeking a versatile, experienced, and reliable &ldquo;MEP BIM Engineer&rdquo; with the following requirements:
 
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Develop, update, and maintain BIM models for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, electrical power, lighting, and ELV systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Model MEP systems in alignment with design intent, engineering calculations, project specifications, and construction requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Produce detailed plans, sections, elevations, schedules, and installation details from BIM models.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure BIM models are aligned with approved drawings, specifications, engineering design information, and project standards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain model accuracy, consistency, data integrity, and compliance with BIM execution requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare and update models, drawings, and digital deliverables using Revit MEP and related BIM authoring tools.
 </li>
 <li>
 Generate model-based drawings, markups, and redline updates to support design coordination, construction, and site requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop parametric Revit models integrating MEP systems with architectural, structural, and other disciplines, ensuring accurate routing, clearances, and system connectivity.
 </li>
 <li>
 Execute multidisciplinary BIM coordination through federated model integration, conducting clash detection and producing actionable clash reports using Navisworks, ACC, or similar platforms.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate MEP models with architectural, structural, and other building systems to identify and resolve spatial conflicts and constructability issues.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support project delivery through Schematic Design (SD), Design Development (DD), and Construction Documentation (CD) stages, ensuring timely model updates and drawing production.
 </li>
 <li>
 Administer sheet creation, revision management, and documentation control in accordance with project and AEC standards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Validate model quality and integrity, extract schedules, quantities, equipment data, and support specification coordination.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support the preparation of MEP shop drawings, fabrication drawings, builder&rsquo;s work drawings, and detailed construction documentation derived from BIM models.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure alignment between BIM models and issued engineering drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
 </li>
 <li>
 Update models based on RFIs, site instructions, design changes, and as-built information.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support the development of as-built MEP models and closeout documentation.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain BIM coordination logs, clash registers, model records, and issue tracking documentation.
 </li>
 <li>
 Participate in BIM coordination meetings, model review workshops, and technical discussions with multidisciplinary teams.
 </li>
 <li>
 Track coordination issues and support timely resolution in collaboration with project stakeholders.
 </li>
 <li>
 Extract and verify quantity take-offs (QTO), equipment schedules, and material quantities from BIM models.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support BIM Execution Plan (BEP) implementation in accordance with ISO 19650 requirements and project BIM standards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Utilize Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM Collaborate Pro, or similar Common Data Environments (CDE) for issue tracking, model sharing, and coordination workflows.

 Ensure compliance with project BIM standards, Level of Development (LOD) requirements, naming conventions, and quality assurance procedures

Your work environment at EXP
EXP&rsquo;s Transportation and Infrastructure Practice provides comprehensive planning, design and construction engineering services for all types of roadways, bridge, water resource, rail, transit and aviation projects. With a unique multidisciplinary team approach, we have a history of successfully delivering complex infrastructure projects. We are currently looking to grow and enhance our construction engineering and inspection (CE+I) practice and are seeking an energetic Construction Inspector to work within our Chicago Office. Reporting to the Construction Department Manager, the ideal candidate will focus on delivering infrastructure projects for wide variety of clients throughout northeast Illinois, but with a focus on working within the Chicago Region. 
What a day at EXP has in store for you
<ul><li>Document all activities on site during duration of the contract and prepare inspection reports.
</li><li>Oversee, document, review, and assess contractor&rsquo;s compliance with contractual requirements.
</li><li>Review construction documents and drawings in order to minimize issues and to reduce the potential for extra work orders during construction.
</li><li>Take accurate and detailed measurements of all work performed by the contractor to ensure accurate payments.
</li><li>Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.
</li><li>Observing general job safety practices.
</li><li>Monitoring and inspecting the Work Zone Traffic Control in accordance with contract documents.

</li></ul>What your experience looks like
<ul><li>B.S. or B.A. degree in an appropriate construction-related, technical, or engineering field or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training, and/or related experience plus four (8) years of experience in construction inspection, two (4) years of which shall have been in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection.
</li><li>Preferred experience with IDOT, ISTHA, Chicago DOT, CTA, Metra, Class 1 Railroad construction.
</li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites

</li></ul>The salary range for this role is $60,000 to $120,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's skill set, experience, certifications, and geographic location. Compensation may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor.
