Job SummaryWe are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Technical Support Specialist to join our team during the evening shift from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM. In this vital role, you will provide expert technical assistance to users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure seamless operation of IT systems across the organization. Your proactive approach and strong communication skills will help resolve technical challenges efficiently, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and operational productivity. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your problem-solving skills and technical expertise will make a significant impact.Duties<ul><li>Provide technical support to end-users via help desk systems, resolving issues related to hardware, software, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and network connectivity.</li><li>Troubleshoot computer hardware components, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals, ensuring prompt resolution of equipment issues.</li><li>Assist with network troubleshooting tasks such as DNS configuration, TCP/IP connectivity, LAN/WAN issues, VPN setup, firewalls, and firewall rule management.</li><li>Manage user accounts and permissions through Active Directory and Active Directory management tools; support GPO (Group Policy Object) configurations.</li><li>Support operating system deployment, updates, and maintenance for Windows Server environments and Linux servers.</li><li>Diagnose and resolve network-related problems using analysis skills to identify root causes related to TCP/IP protocols, DNS resolution, or LAN configurations.</li><li>Maintain detailed customer support tickets using help desk systems; document troubleshooting steps and resolutions clearly for future reference.</li><li>Collaborate with team members to escalate complex issues requiring advanced technical troubleshooting support.</li><li>Assist in the setup and maintenance of computer management tools and software applications essential for daily operations.</li><li>Support the configuration and troubleshooting of VPN connections, firewalls, TCP protocols, and other security measures to ensure secure remote access.</li><li>Respond to helpdesk calls and emails.</li><li>Work collaboratively with other departments.</li><li>Work on requests that cannot be completed during normal hours.</li><li>Move/Add/Changes: Moving users and their equipment, building out new workstation desks.</li><li>Work on IT projects as needed.</li><li>Rotate on-call every 4 weeks (including weekends).</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Experience supporting Active Directory, including user account management, password resets, security groups, and account administration.</li><li>Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange (on-premises and Microsoft 365), including mailbox administration and permissions.</li><li>Experience with VMware and basic server administration.</li><li>Strong hardware troubleshooting skills with desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, mobile devices, desk phones, and peripherals.</li><li>Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM).</li><li>Familiarity with endpoint security, antivirus tools, email security, and credential management.</li><li>Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).</li><li>Experience supporting Windows and iOS devices.</li><li>Working knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, Remote Desktop, and basic networking.</li><li>Experience with Adobe applications.</li><li>Ability to provide exceptional support to executives and business stakeholders.</li><li>Strong written communication and technical documentation skills.</li></ul>Join us in delivering exceptional IT support that keeps our organization running smoothly!
