Job Description:</b></h1><p></p><ul><li><div><p>
An entry-level professional in the field of Engineering. Stays in a three-year training period, including courses and participation with more senior management level supervision on different projects. Uses professional concepts to resolve problems of limited scope and complexity. Reports directly to senior engineers and works closely with other engineers in all matters related to Design and Engineering. Ensures design is delivered on time and on budget, and complies with the required Quality, Health, Safety and Wellbeing and Sustainability standards and requirements. Will either be given a project to work on or be given a small &ldquo;Package&rdquo; to manage from start to finish. Contributes to the achievement of tasks in accordance with Ferrovial&rsquo;s policy and ensure quality on our projects is upheld.</p></div></li><li><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p><b>
Job Overview: </b>As a Roadway Engineer-In-Training in Ferrovial Construction, you will work on some of the largest civil infrastructure projects in North America, mainly Design &amp; Build and P3 Projects in the United States, during both the bidding and the construction phases.</p><p>
The candidate will work in a wide variety of civil-design-related tasks, focusing on Roadway, Maintenance of Traffic and Traffic Engineering, will learn the company standards for roadway and traffic control design and will develop expertise in using traffic analysis design software and processes.</p><p>
Under the supervision of Ferrovial Construction US Engineering Services department, the EIT will have the technical support and resources needed to advance in their professional career within a collaborative environment.</p><p></p><p><b>
Responsibilities and Duties:</b></p><ul><li><p>
Perform highway designs and plan production of complex highways projects.</p></li><li><p>
Perform traffic analysis of complex highway engineering projects. Prepare traffic analysis reports and present findings and results to clients. Create effective figures and data visualization to convey concept designs and data analyses.</p></li><li><p>
Perform analysis and conceptual designs for traffic signal systems, including warrant analysis.</p></li><li><p>
Prepare traffic control and construction staging plans.</p></li><li><p>
Supervise and check designs performed by consultants and subconsultants, including plans and traffic analysis.</p></li><li><p>
Develop in-house design alternatives and optimizations.</p></li><li><p>
Conduct studies on applicable specifications for the specified work.</p></li><li><p>
Estimate quantities and perform quality checks on quantities by subconsultants.</p></li><li><p>
Support the development of technical proposals.</p></li><li><p>
Assists with field observation work when necessary.</p></li><li><p>
Perform other duties as needed related to the scope of work described above.</p></li><li><p>
Provide technical support to other team members deployed to ongoing projects across the United States.</p></li></ul><p><b>
Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li><p>
Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited US College or University.</p></li><li><p>
1 to 3+ years of experience (entry-level or early career).</p></li><li><p>
Licensed EIT, with ability to start the process of becoming a PE.</p></li><li><p>
Experience with roadway design, including roadway design software such as Bentley MicroStation, OpenRoad Designer and AutoCAD.</p></li><li><p>
Experience with traffic analysis, including traffic engineering software such as PTV Vissim, Synchro and HCS.</p></li><li><p>
Strong attention to detail, ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, and specifications.</p></li><li><p>
Strong written and verbal communication skills.</p></li><li><p>
Ability to work on teams in a fast-track environment and interface with Clients, Designers, and the Construction teams.</p></li><li><p>
Position is located in Austin, TX but must be open to relocation once a project is awarded.</p></li><li><p>
