In order to ensure proper function, machinist review equipment regularly to report any equipment malfunctions, tooling issues, conduct general maintenance tasks while following all safety precautions. This position is 2nd shift.<br>

<p><b>Essential Responsibilities:</b></p><div><ul><li>
Setup and operate CNC Horizontal machining centers.</li><li>
Load and unload work fixtures, devices, tools and programs.</li><li>
Adjusting cutting tools, as required.</li><li>
Follow standard work processes and record data.</li><li>
Operate and interpret a variety of inspection tools.</li><li>
Perform duties in a safe and efficient manner.</li><li>
Other duties as assigned.</li></ul></div><p><b>
Education &amp; Training:</b></p><div><ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>
Technical training or vocational coursework in machining, manufacturing, or CNC operation preferred.</li><li>
Certification in CNC machining or related field (e.g., NIMS &ndash; National Institute for Metalworking Skills) is a plus.</li></ul></div><p><b>
Experience:</b></p><div><ul><li>
1&ndash;3 years of hands-on experience operating CNC machines, preferably horizontal machining centers.</li><li>
Experience with setup, tooling adjustments, and interpreting CNC programs.</li><li>
Familiarity with inspecting parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.</li></ul></div><p><b>
Skills:</b></p><div><ul><li>
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.</li><li>
Basic math and mechanical reasoning skills.</li><li>
Knowledge of machine maintenance practices and troubleshooting common issues.</li><li>
Computer literacy for CNC program loading and data entry.</li></ul></div><p><b>

Some work is achieved near open bays with no control over weather conditions.
</li><li>There are periodic high noise levels and vibration associated with this job. Sources include: engine noise, air compressors, air powered equipment, and other shop noises. Also there is possibly sufficient noise, either constant or intermittent to cause possible hearing loss.
</li><li>There are a variety of physical hazards in which there is danger to life, health, or bodily injury, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving equipment, heavy parts, electrical shock, compressed air and exposure to chemicals.</li><li>Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids which may be representative, but not all inclusive, of those commonly associated with this type of work.</li><li>Air power tools, electric drill, drill press, grinders (both hand and bench), wrenches, torches, welders, a variety of hand tools, mills, and electric cords.<br>

</li><li>Must be able to lift objects from floor to above shoulder level. Must be able to move objects/parts/tools and equipment from one area to another and one level to another level.</li><li>

</li><li>Fingering &ndash; picking, pinching, or otherwise working with fingers primarily (rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling).</li><li>
Feeling &ndash; being able to determine objects such as size, shape, temperature or texture by means of receptors in skin, particularly those of fingertips.</li></ul></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div><br>
