Your Impact:

Software is at the heart of all aspects of Formlabs products. We aim to bring ground-breaking 3D printers to the desks and shops of designers, artists, and professionals the world over. Our software is integral to ensuring exceptional experiences with our products as it bridges the transition from digital models to beautiful physical form in 3D printing.

As a Software Engineering Manager, you will manage cross-disciplinary engineers and technical leads for multiple software projects. You will coordinate with remote software engineering teams to plan large projects and set schedules. The Software Engineering Manager will be involved in a range of projects, including the development of core 3D printing algorithms, firmware, 3D rendering, web-based services, and UI/UX.

What You'll Do:

<li>Manage a team of software engineers</li>
<li>Key contributor to software architecture decisions on new products for both R&amp;D and production development</li>
<li>Work closely with software and hardware product managers and 3D printing R&amp;D teams to guarantee the delivery of new algorithms, features, and 3D printers</li>

About You:
<ul>
<li>Ready to collaborate with a wide range of technical disciplines, including Software, Hardware, and Design teams</li>
<li>Have experience as a manager and technical leader of at least one group of five or more software engineers</li>
<li>Comfortable managing risk and making meaningful decisions for your organization</li>
<li>An excellent software engineer who has shown they are also successful as a manager and leader</li>
<li>Desire to grow the skills and fully leverage the talent of the team you manage</li>

Software Engineering Manager

As a Manufacturing Test Manager, you'll lead the team that will design and develop the manufacturing test systems which bring electromechanical products from prototype to high-volume production. They work at the intersection of hardware and software, building test and calibration hardware and infrastructure, integrating tightly with our manufacturing and operations teams, and making production data visible and actionable across our global supply chain.

The Job:
<ul>
<li>Lead the strategic architecture and deployment of hardware and software test infrastructure across global Contract Manufacturers to ensure reliable, repeatable production.</li>
<li>Architect and maintain a Python-based ecosystem of manufacturing, engineering, and support tools from initial design through release.</li>
<li>Oversee the development and validation of calibration and test stations, including all technical documentation and implementation specifications.</li>
<li>Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to define hardware testability requirements and establish rigorous calibration standards.</li>
<li>Apply data science techniques to production line data to extract actionable insights that improve yield and operational efficiency.</li>
<li>Manage and mentor a team of four manufacturing test software engineers, fostering their technical growth and subject matter expertise.</li>
<li>Streamline the development and deployment process to ensure high-quality software releases reach our factories worldwide without friction.</li>
</ul>
You:
<ul>
<li>You bring extensive experience developing complex electromechanical products, managing both internal development and external global partnerships.</li>
<li>You are a power user in Linux environments, comfortable using the command line and SSH to develop, debug, and deploy.</li>
<li>You possess a strong multidisciplinary foundation across embedded, electrical, and mechanical engineering.</li>
<li>You have a proven track record of managing complex projects and setting clear expectations across diverse, cross-functional teams.</li>
<li>You thrive in high-impact, small-team environments where personal interaction and rapid knowledge sharing are critical to making decisions.</li>
<li>You are passionate about software quality and have the technical discipline to maintain a robust, documented tools ecosystem.</li>

The Impact:

As an Art Director, you will work closely with the Creative Director, photo and video producers, and cross-functional teams to design and evolve the brand across a wide range of touchpoints, from product branding and campaigns to trade show booths, marketing collateral, and photo/video visual direction. You will play a key role in translating brand strategy into thoughtful, well-crafted design systems and assets.

You will be involved throughout the creative process, from concept development through final production, bringing ideas to life with strong visual thinking and attention to detail. This role requires a highly collaborative designer who is comfortable working across mediums, contributing to creative direction, and executing high-quality design work that ensures the brand shows up consistently and cohesively across physical, digital, and experiential environments.

Submission of a portfolio is mandatory for consideration for this position.

What You'll Do:
<ul>
<li>Work closely with the Creative Director to develop concepts and translate strategic vision into execution.</li>
<li>Translate abstract ideas into compelling visual directions that can be executed across multiple media.</li>
<li>Help maintain a high creative bar across the team's output and ensure visual consistency across digital, product, experiential, and marketing work.</li>
<li>Design a wide range of brand assets including signage, marketing collateral, presentations, illustrations, and digital graphics.</li>
<li>Art direct studio productions from concept through execution by creating mood boards and translating the creative idea into a visual language on camera.</li>
<li>Design and style sets, props, and environments for photo and video shoots that support the narrative and brand aesthetic.</li>
<li>Concept and design trade show booths that express the brand and attract attention in busy environments working with fabricators to translate concepts into buildable, high-impact experiences.</li>
<li>Consider spatial design, storytelling, product display, and visitor flow.</li>
<li>Lead the visual and experiential design for corporate events including product launches, customer events, and internal gatherings.</li>
<li>Collaborate with product, marketing, and industrial design teams to develop cohesive branding around new products.</li>
</ul>

About You:
<ul>
<li>5+ years of experience in art direction, brand design, or a related creative role (in-house or agency).</li>
<li>Strong graphic design skills, including typography, layout, and visual storytelling.</li>
<li>Strong portfolio demonstrating experience across brand systems, campaigns, photography/video direction, and environmental or experiential design.</li>
<li>Ability to concept and art direct photo and video shoots.</li>
<li>Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams such as marketing, product, UX, and event production.</li>
<li>Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate creative ideas clearly to stakeholders.</li>
<li>Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously.</li>
<li>Comfortable both developing high-level creative concepts and executing detailed design work.</li>
</ul>
Bonus Skills:
<ul>
<li>Familiarity with designing for physical environments such as trade shows, events, retail, or office spaces is a strong plus.</li>
<li>Motion design or animation experience is a plus.</li>
<li>Familiarity with 3D printing</li>
<li>Motion graphics and 3D rendering experience.</li>
