 QUALIFICATIONS
 
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor degree in Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineering
 </li>
 <li>
 Master degree in Aeronautics / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering is a plus.
 </li>
 <li>
 English language skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Arabic is a plus.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 EXPERIENCE
 
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 5+ years&rsquo; experience in the Engineering function of a major aircraft MRO player
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience in using design and engineering software.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience on military aircraft is a plus.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Establishes and follows-up an effective internal/external communication mechanism to create Engineering team work environment at the base.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensures all tasks and deliverables are in full compliance with the applicable Engineering policies and procedures as well as safety and airworthiness standards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensures O and I level engineering service be provided on time and with accuracy.
 </li>
 <li>
 Analyzes and provides engineering resolutions to fleet problems ensuring that the safety and airworthiness norms are adhered.
 </li>
 <li>
 Defines and prepares O and I level deliverables at the base to support operation, coordinates if required for the support on other levels.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintains liaisons with internal and external customers (OEM, vendors, OCEs on site) relating to field service requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinates and provides assessments. evaluation and embodiment authorization for all OEM Service Bulletins, Directives, Technical Notices etc., for all related aircraft systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Supports life cycle improvement programs, such as operational usage evaluation or life extension, in close coordination with Engineering-Central.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinates delivery of deviation documents through central office as required after OEM approval.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepares and follows training/development programs (PIP, CDP etc.) for report line.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provides data to Engineering-central office staff regarding reliability, developments, obsolescence, modifications and cMRO needs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinates and manages on-time implementation of specifications, SB (Service Bulletin), AD (Airworthiness Directive) etc. applicable to the aircraft at the base.
 </li>
 <li>
 Gathers and consolidates obsolescence data into cohesive and logical categories for analysis, understands the results and formulate conclusions and recommendations based on the analytical results.
 </li>
 <li>
 Manages and monitors engineering and library activities at the base to provide accurate and on time service with full compliance with effective engineering policy and procedures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Understands and delivers the contractual requirements with its deliverables as related to the sectional area of responsibilities.
 </li>
 <li>
 Works closely with his/ her counterparts in-house in the interest of the department.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintains regular contact with technical department of all GAL AMMROC customers to remain abreast of any technical difficulties that arise on the aircraft being supported.
 </li>
 <li>
 Attends conferences, workshops, etc. as necessary to remain abreast of the technical advances in the field of aviation with respect to the customers&rsquo; aircraft being supported by GAL AMMROC
 </li>
 <li>
 Stimulates subordinates and contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of section systems, processes and practices taking into account &lsquo;international best practice&rsquo;, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement
 </li>
 <li>
 Supervises the preparation of timely and accurate departmental MIS statements and reports of GAL AMMROC to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensures compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude
 </li>
 <li>
 Recommends an optimum organization structure for the Engineering Management section so that resources are optimally utilized and communication can take place in an efficient manner
 </li>
 <li>
 Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.
 </li>
