</b></h2><p>The Field Engineer supports all phases of data center and structured cabling construction by developing submittal packages, validating field conditions, maintaining redlines and as‑builts, processing RFIs and change requests, compiling test results, and ensuring project documentation remains accurate and up to date. The most essential responsibility is communication&mdash;keeping the entire project team aligned, informed, and equipped to execute.

</b></h3><ul><li><p>Follow all safety practices in accordance with company and client requirements to maintain an accident‑free environment

</b></h3><ul><li><p>Participate in RFI/RFP and bid processes, reviewing plans, specifications, and full bid packages

</p></li><li><p>Mentor and support colleagues as needed

</b></h3><ul><li><p>Lead field validation of telecom design, identifying conflicts or gaps and driving resolution through the RFI process
</p></li><li><p>Verify field conditions against design documents
</p></li><li><p>Maintain accurate redlines and as‑built drawings throughout the project lifecycle
</p></li><li><p>Support subcontractor oversight and coordination
</p></li><li><p>Assess installation methods, labor needs, and manpower forecasts with project superintendents
</p></li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Documentation &amp; Reporting
</b></h3><ul><li><p>Develop pre‑work and post‑work submittal packages
</p></li><li><p>Process, validate, and compile cable test reports (OTDR, Power Meter, etc.)
</p></li><li><p>Draft and manage RFIs and change order requests
</p></li><li><p>Maintain organized project records and documentation
</p></li><li><p>Prepare daily/weekly reports and escalate issues as needed
</p></li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Project Controls &amp; Tracking
</b></h3><ul><li><p>Implement and oversee electronic tracking systems and custom dashboards to monitor task progress, productivity, and issue resolution
</p></li><li><p>Support QA/QC efforts by ensuring adherence to quality control plans
</p></li><li><p>Ensure downstream team members meet deadlines and deliverables
</p></li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Stakeholder &amp; Client Engagement
</b></h3><ul><li><p>Serve as a liaison between field teams, project management, subcontractors, and customers
</p></li><li><p>Communicate expectations, risks, challenges, and successes clearly and proactively
</p></li><li><p>Support customer acceptance and signoff
</p></li><li><p>Build and maintain strong customer relationships

</b></h3><ul><li><p>Own the change management process by identifying scope impacts early, communicating with stakeholders, and driving timely resolution

</b></h3><ul><li><p>Lead preparation of closeout documentation, ensuring timely, accurate, and customer‑ready submittals

</b></h2><ul><li><p>Minimum <b>5+ years </b>of construction industry experience in a similar role
</p></li><li><p>Experience with <b>large structured cabling </b>and/or <b>data center construction </b>strongly preferred
</p></li><li><p>Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), Bluebeam, Procore, Textura
</p></li><li><p>OSHA‑30 certification (or ability to obtain within first 6 months)
</p></li><li><p>Experience participating in RFI/RFP and bid processes
</p></li><li><p>Ability to lead field validation of telecom design
</p></li><li><p>Experience overseeing electronic tracking systems and dashboards
</p></li><li><p>Strong QA/QC support capabilities
</p></li><li><p>Ability to review contracts, work orders, and purchase orders
</p></li><li><p>Strong ownership of change management processes
</p></li><li><p>Ability to validate test results (OTDR, Power Meter, etc.)
</p></li><li><p>Experience preparing closeout documentation
</p></li><li><p>Ability to maintain accurate redlines throughout the build lifecycle
