Position purpose
The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will support our corporate accounting team and report directly to the Financial Reporting Manager. This position will play a key role in providing timely and accurate financial information and reports for both internal and external purposes, consistent with a comprehensive understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), general accounting best practices, and the Company&rsquo;s policies and procedures.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:

Assists in Preparation and review of financial statements, footnote disclosures, supplemental schedules and MD&amp;A sections.</li><li>
Ensures compliance with US GAAP disclosure requirements; prepares quarterly/annual financial reporting schedules. Main point of contact with our external auditors PwC.</li><li>
Prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced monthly close process.</li><li>
Understand the composition of financial statements and have the ability to provide analytical review, noting trends and providing clear explanations.</li><li>
Main responsible for the correct accounting of JV Minority Partnerships and the Equity section of the Balance Sheet.
</li><li>Assists with complex areas of accounting including stock compensation, equity valuation and IBNR. Works with third party providers and internal resources to ensure accounting in these areas is correctly measured and disclosed.</li><li>
Assist in M&amp;A and integration of new companies in our ERP system, NetSuite.</li><li>
Possess a strong appreciation for data and information integrity, as well as fundamental accounting reconciliation concepts</li><li>
Assist with developing and documenting business processes and policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls</li><li>
Evaluate and recommend improvements in accounting system and processes with the goal of ensuring timely and accurate reporting</li><li>
Provide support to other groups in the Corporate Finance Department on an as-needed basis.</li><li>
Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance</li><li>
Prepare ad hoc reports and work on projects as needed.</li><li>

</li></ul>Qualifications
Education: Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in accounting or related field required. CPA is preferred.
Experience: Minimum 5+ years of related work experience. Experience at a large accounting or consulting firm providing accounting/auditing and/or financial due diligence services for healthcare providers preferred. Experience with private equity owned healthcare practices is a plus. Netsuite ERP experience is a plus.
