Transports boxes, bins and crates to work areas; distributes items and salvage to appropriate areas; disposes of unsalable items.</li><li>
Responsible to process and price all incoming donations, including wares, books, shoes, furniture, etc.</li><li>
Maintains production levels; documents timely and accurately the number of items/bins processed.</li><li>
Reviews donations for quality; determines which items are routed to specific areas for further distribution.</li><li>
Accepts and receives donations and ensures they are recorded appropriately.</li><li>
Ensures donations area is secured at all times and protect donations from misuse.</li><li>
Operates material handling equipment.</li><li>
Attends and participates in regularly scheduled staff meetings.</li><li>
Observes behavior of customers entering operation; reports suspicious behavior to supervisor or security.</li></ul>

Physical Demands and Work Environment:</b> While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; see, talk and hear. Work is generally performed indoors in a retail setting where the employee will have frequent contact with the public. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and lift/move up to 50lbs and may occasionally be exposed to outside weather conditions.</p><p><b>

At Goodwill Industries of Central Florida, as a Store Cashier, you will be expected to provide excellent customer service while operating a cash register. Major duties include ringing up all sales transactions, operating a cash register, and greeting and assisting customers/donors.</p><p>
A Day in the Life of a Store Cashier!</p><div>
You will find yourself:<br>
<ul><li>Greeting each customer with a courteous, friendly, and professional attitude.</li><li>Providing prompt, efficient, and accurate customer service at all times.</li><li>Directing customers to the proper area and providing general information as requested.</li><li>Ringing up all sales transactions into the cash register and complete sales.</li><li>Ensuring that each customer receives the proper change and correct receipt for purchase.</li><li>Following all policies and procedures concerning cash, check, charge card transactions, voids, gift cards, and change Round Up program.</li><li>Keeping the register area clean and orderly at all times.</li><li>Answering telephone calls promptly using an established etiquette procedure.</li><li>Assisting sales floor employees with stocking and recovery.</li></ul></div><p>

Provide expertise to Goodwill Industries International, Inc. staff and local Goodwill team members on data-informed best practices for learning &amp; development.</li><li>

Define success metrics and adoption indicators for Goodwill Academy products and services.</li><li>
Partner with Data Center of Excellence and Digital &amp; Technology Services teams to track usage, engagement trends, and participation data within the LMS and related platforms.</li><li>
Collect, analyze, and synthesize feedback (quantitative and qualitative) from learning events, resources, and services Assist in developing and facilitating webinars to the internal GII team and the broader Goodwill network on learning topics.</li><li>
Translate data and insights into actionable recommendations to improve engagement strategies, user experience, and services.</li><li>
Identify opportunities to enhance learner and administrator experience across GWA products and services, including the LMS.</li><li>
Design, develop, document and maintain scalable resources and processes for learning and development</li><li>
Support the maintenance and growth of Goodwill&rsquo;s learning and development community of practice, including planning and facilitating Training Affinity Group sessions and webinars.</li><li>

SUMMARY: </b>Summer internship starting in June 2026, ending August 2026. The position can be worked full-time (40 hours per week) or part-time (20 hours per week). This internship is fully remote, though applicants from the Washington, DC area will have the opportunity to work from the Goodwill Industries International (GII) headquarters in Rockville, Maryland if desired. This internship pays $18.00 per hour.</div><div></div><div><br>
This role will support the Data Center of Excellence (Data COE) team across five key areas: documentation of data processes and reporting logic, exploratory data analysis beyond standard grant reporting, data pipeline and dashboard cleanup and maintenance, qualitative data capture from member research and surveys, and general research to support grant strategy and benchmarking. This intern will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally within GII and will gain experience in data documentation, analysis, dashboard development, and stakeholder engagement.</div><div></div><div><br>
Promising applicants will be able to demonstrate familiarity with data analysis and visualization by presenting a project that includes data cleaning, exploratory analysis, and visualization using tools such as Python, R, or Power BI from their academic or professional portfolio. Strong applicants will also demonstrate the ability to clearly document their analytical process, including how data is transformed, validated, and used to generate insights. Exceptional applicants will have experience working with both quantitative and qualitative data, such as survey results or interview feedback, and an ability to synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences.</div><p></p><p><b><br>
