Position Description:
Leads and directs the team responsible for coordination of transportation, storage, or distribution of donated merchandise for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) and its affiliated entities through scheduling and dispatching both CDL and Non-CDL Truck Drivers. Analyzes daily and weekly reporting to understand trends and team member performance. Must have strong adherence to all safety policies and wearing all required personal protective equipment at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Provides feedback to Home Pick Up Leader on day-to-day operations in an effort to maintain and improve business and resolve problems.</li><li>
Manages and adheres to assigned budget.</li><li>
Builds and manages strong working relationships with customers, maintaining standards of excellent customer service.</li><li>
Maintains the day-to-day operations of the transportation department including managing and meeting team member and customer needs.</li><li>
Communicates with retail partners on status of equipment, product, and general information.</li><li>
Coordinates and effectively communicates with various GCNA divisions.</li><li>
Makes decisions on matters relating to the day-to-day operation within his/her defined work area.</li><li>
Prepares daily work and run schedules, determining types or amounts of equipment, vehicles, materials, or personnel required according to work orders or specifications.</li><li>
Ensures standards for quality services are met, conducts quality assurance checks, and develops strategies for improvement.</li><li>
Responsible for following and ensuring all safety rules are complied with and appropriate safety equipment is used. Immediately takes action and/or reports any unsafe or potential hazards.</li><li>
Builds a high-performing team.</li><li>
Responsible for performance management (coaching, discipline, performance improvement plans, and annual reviews), staffing, compensation, and development of team members.</li><li>
Maintains regular and consistent in-person attendance.</li><li>

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):<ul><li>
High School Diploma or equivalent</li><li>
2+ years supervisory experience or equivalent work experience, required</li><li>
Must be at least 18 years of age or older</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, train, and motivate others</li><li>
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite</li><li>
Ability to speak and read English proficiently</li><li>
Working knowledge of DOT rules and regulation</li><li>

Advises and coaches managers on HR requests; assigns or escalates to the appropriate department if needed.</li><li>
Conducts Team Member intakes; including gathering information by phone, email, etc.; enters questions or concerns accurately into the applicable system.</li><li>
Reviews and responds to Team Member complaints within required timeframes to include gathering and analyzing facts, and applying relevant policies and past practice. Provides recommendation(s) to the HR Business Partner and leadership at the conclusion of an investigation.</li><li>
Makes effective use of case management software to ensure all case-related metrics and documentation are appropriately captured and retained; uses case management software to analyze trends and make recommendations where applicable.</li><li>
Collaborates with other HR Team Members regarding annual policy and employee handbook updates.</li><li>
Partners with the Legal Department in response to agency requests, and employment litigation matters.</li><li>
Assists ER Partners with various investigation duties, such as collecting documents, statements, taking notes, etc. as directed.</li><li>
Accurately tracks and reports defined metrics as requested by management.</li><li>
Interprets and applies understanding of corporate policies and practices, employment law, and other regulations to provide advice, guidance, or clarification for HR inquiries; maintains strict confidentiality at all times.</li><li>
Answers inbound calls; resolving the questions or concerns or directs the caller to the appropriate internal team/department for resolution.</li><li>
Makes effective use of case management software to ensure all case-related metrics and documentation are appropriately captured and retained; uses case management software to analyze trends and make recommendations where applicable.</li><li>
Provides excellent customer service and professionalism while performing assigned duties.</li><li>
Builds relationships across the organization to ensure trust, confidence, and credibility remain intact.</li><li>

Performs administrative functions and reporting for Exit and Stay Surveys.</li><li>

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):<ul><li>
High School Diploma or GED preferred.</li><li>
One to two years&rsquo; previous office and HR experience, preferred.</li><li>
Ability to use MS Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.</li><li>
Working knowledge of Workday, preferred.</li><li>
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bilingual abilities in Spanish and English are preferred.</li><li>
Ability to speak and read English proficiently.</li><li>
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times.</li><li>
Strong customer service orientation.</li><li>
Ability to multi-task, shift gears, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for the position.</li></ul>
