 The Sr. IT Business Analyst is responsible for large scale enterprise level business and systems analysis functions supporting his/her assigned applications.
 
 
 Apply proven analytical, communication and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT investments, turning functional business requirements into effectively designed solutions. This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, leading system projects for business units, partnering with business leaders, building systems requirements, providing application support, and managing external software vendors.
 
 
 
 Essential Duties And Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Manage the daily performance and operation of enterprise-level software applications
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform the following duties: budgeting, quality control, research, purchasing of assets or software, contract negotiation and management
 </li>
 <li>
 Act as a liaison between technology teams, support teams, business units, and senior management
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate with project managers, solutions architects and project sponsors to determine project scope and how to execute multiple projects
 </li>
 <li>
 Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business requirements, and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issues
 </li>
 <li>
 Document functional business requirement and interpret into system designs
 </li>
 <li>
 Define reporting and analytical tools for application monitoring
 </li>
 <li>
 Analyze and determine root-cause for reported system issues
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct research into on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts
 </li>
 <li>
 Define and utilize standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirement and functional specifications
 </li>
 <li>
 Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential problem areas in IT systems across the organization
 </li>
 <li>
 Lead the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications
 </li>
 <li>
 Work independently on projects and analysis
 </li>
 <li>
 Act as the main point of contact and IT partner for the assigned business unit(s)
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including system, integration, and customer acceptance, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary
 </li>
 <li>
 Define and mange a roadmap for all of the applications within scope
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain reference documentation for audit purposes
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform other duties as assigned

 RequirementsJob Qualifications &ndash; Education And Experience
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 5-7 years of experience supporting software applications and software development
 </li>
 <li>
 A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected as part of the job performance and will need to rely on judgment and experience to accomplish goals
 </li>
 <li>
 Extensive knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven understanding and experience in project management and exposure to project management methodologies
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven understanding of Software Development Lifecycle methodologies as adopted by the organization
 </li>
 <li>
 Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent written and oral communication skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent interpersonal skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products
 </li>
 <li>
 Highly self-motivated and directed
 </li>
 <li>
 Deep understanding of IT systems, integrations and architecture
 </li>
 <li>
 Keen attention to detail
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven ability to manage large scale enterprise level projects
 </li>

 Proficient in the use of SQL, Excel, and Access
 
 
 </li>

 Preferred Qualifications
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or a related field preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 7 years of experience supporting software applications and software development
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with retail applications and principles
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with retail IT business practices
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Physical Requirements
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 General office environment, ability to sit for long periods of time
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to move about an office
 </li>
 <li>
 Able to lift and transport moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals up to 25 lbs.
 </li>
