Qualified candidates will have excellent leadership and communication skills with professional experience in consulting in the field of urban economics, real estate, or environmental economics. The candidate must have a track record of leading analytical approaches on projects to the development of innovative solutions to complex challenges such as climate change, urban development, environmental challenges and social equity facing cities, regions, and other private, public, and non-profit entities.</div><div></div><div><b><br>

Role:</b></div><div>
As a Senior Economic Consultant, you will support and lead projects that integrate economic insight with environmental and social considerations. You&rsquo;ll collaborate with public agencies, private clients, and community stakeholders to advance inclusive, resilient, and economically sound solutions. You will take ownership of project delivery, serve as an individual contributor as well as directs analysts and other staff during project execution, and provide support for Senior Leaders in the group. Tasks include project management, directing research and analysis, and setting the direction and vision for deliverables, including communicating and coordinating research findings.</div><div><br>
</div><div>Analyses to be undertaken include quantitative and qualitative analyses in areas such as:</div><ul><li>
Economic and fiscal impact studies</li><li>
Benefit-cost analysis</li><li>
Market analysis and housing studies</li><li>
Land use studies</li><li>
Financial feasibility analyses for urban development/redevelopment</li><li>
Funding and financing and funding strategies for infrastructure</li><li>

In addition to technical analyses, you would also support in leading business development initiatives, including leading proposal development, client presentations, thought leadership initiatives, and supporting Hatch&rsquo;s overall business development strategy.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
What You Bring</b></div><ul><li>
8+ years of experience in economic consulting, real estate, urban planning, management consulting, or related fields.</li><li>
Degree in economics, public policy, urban planning, real estate, or a related discipline.</li><li>
Project execution experience: experience supporting the delivery of client work and internal reporting/tracking project progress, ideally in consulting.</li><li>
Business development experience, including developing client-facing proposals and presentations.</li><li>
Effective communicator with strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills.</li><li>
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including experience with economic modeling and data visualization.</li><li>
Quantitative skills; experience with climate change/sustainable economics, real estate/urban economics, pro forma modeling, and market analysis is required; experience in financial and/or economic analysis and modeling.</li><li>
Familiarity with sustainability frameworks, climate finance, and inclusive economic development a plus.
</li><li>Detail oriented and outcome focused with a willingness to collaborate within and beyond the internal team and a desire to work in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment. An entrepreneurial and &quot;can do&quot; attitude, with an ability to work toward solutions despite real world constraints of limited data.</li><li>
Mentorship of junior staff and contributing to a culture of excellence and innovation.</li><li>
Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Excel, PowerPoint, with basic InDesign familiarity a plus.</li><li>

Hatch is seeking a <b>Procurement Manager. </b>This position is located in Pittsburgh, PA.<b> </b>The <b>Procurement Manager</b> is involved in a project from the proposal/study (FEL1, FEL2 and FEL3) phases up to the project close-out and handover of the project execution phase. The major interfaces are with project management, engineering, project controls and construction management to ensure a cross functional implementation of materials management and contracts management processes.</p><p></p><p><br>
The <b>Procurement Manager</b> directs, controls and co-ordinates the procurement of engineering, subconsulting, logistics, and construction services, equipment and materials for the project obtaining optimum performances with regards to cost, technical requirements and quality to satisfy the project budget and schedule. The Procurement Manager is the custodian of the entire procurement cycle which includes materials management and contracts management at the home and/or site offices.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
Key Responsibilities:</b></p><br>

Responsible for developing the Procurement section of the Project Execution Plan (PEP), including the following strategies: Materials Management, Contracts Management, Logistics, Spare Parts, Sourcing (global and local), and Vendor Quality Surveillance.</li><li>
Responsible for implementing all procurement processes and procedures including forms and templates to be used on the project.</li><li>
Responsible for developing, implementing, and negotiating terms and conditions for materials purchases and services contracts.</li><li>
Responsible for the entire project procurement lifecycle from the procurement package definition stage to the closeout stage.</li><li>
Responsible for developing and promoting positive working relationships with present and future Clients.</li><li>
Provides supervision, training and assistance to all procurement team members across Contracting, Purchasing, Expediting, Vendor Quality Surveillance, Logistics and Site Materials Control disciplines; promotes and maintains a healthy and harmonious work environment.</li><li>
Provides inputs for Project reporting as required.</li><li>
Verifies and ensures integrity of the entire procurement lifecycle, validates that all activities are carried out in accordance with the relevant procedures, maintains sound business practices in an ethical manner.</li><li>
Ensures compliance to and maintenance of the procurement filing system (electronic and hardcopy).</li><li>
Understands and manages the procurement and project strategies in order to provide the best outcomes in terms of scope, cost and time.</li><li>
Interfaces with the client to ensure that objectives are achieved, potential problems are identified and preventive or corrective actions are taken.</li></ul><ul><li>
Performs continuous self-audits to ensure compliance with guidelines and procedures.</li><li>

Acts as primary communication resource within the project regarding procurement issues.</li><li>
Foresees potential problems, slippage or delays and pro-actively implements corrective measures to resolve the issues or mitigates the impact thereof.</li><li>
Provides reporting and updates to the client, the Project Manager and the Procurement Hub Lead on a regular basis.</li><li>
Plans, controls and monitors procurement activities in accordance with the approved project schedule.</li><li>
Ensures functional direction on all procurement issues, including site construction contract issues, during contract administration and closeout.</li><li>
Performs resource planning, which includes man-hour allocation and management.</li><li>
Ensures efficient and correct usage of Procurement Management Systems and Document Management Systems.</li><li>
Where required, performs site visits to oversee the procurement/commercial activities or resolve issues arising on the project; maintains a presence both on site and in home/execution office. In specific cases, Procurement Manager may be based at site during the construction phase.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
Required Qualifications and Experience:</b></p><br>
<p></p><ul><li>
Extensive experience on an EPCM project environment with capital projects, specifically in a management role.</li><li>
Mega project procurement management experience (US$1 billion or more).</li><li>
Related training in Contracts/Legal as well as general project and management related training.</li><li>
Experience with drafting of commercial terms and conditions and an understanding of accompanying legal implications.</li><li>
Proficient negotiation skills.</li><li>
Materials purchasing, contract formation, expediting, logistics, materials management, and site materials control experience.</li><li>
Experience with different types of contracts formation: lump sum, LSTK, BOO, GMAX, unit rate, T&amp;M, cost plus fixed fee, and other contractor at risk contract types.</li><li>
Excellent understanding of procurement processes which include both materials and contracts management and corporate governance principles.</li><li>
Knowledge and understanding of quality systems, environmental, health and safety regulations, expediting techniques and Incoterms applications.</li><li>
Experience and understanding of contracting and purchasing strategies.</li><li>
Project management knowledge with proven managerial skills.</li><li>
Experience in claims and dispute resolution techniques and their applications.</li><li>
Prior experience in the administration of construction/service contracts and major equipment purchase orders.</li><li>
Experience in using, developing and implementing procurement reporting tools.</li><li>
Able to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently.</li><li>
Prior oil/gas industry experience.</li><li>
