Required Certifications:
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>Three years journey-level experience working as a carpenter in a commercial, industrial, or facilities operations setting or 5-7 years in a carpentry related field.</li>
<li>Must demonstrate &amp; follow strict safety guidelines and techniques including, but not limited to the use of table, radial and band saws, drill press, jointer/planner, power sanders and hand power tools. Appropriate use of various adhesives for wood, plastics and laminates. Finish carpentry, drywall, framing, locksets, door closures and hinges.</li>
<li>Perform various repairs and/or installations of walls, doors, flooring, and ceilings. Fabrication, assembly, installation, resort outlet general repairs, related office, common spaces and grounds.</li>
<li>Perform a wide range of utility maintenance functions. Assist other tradecrafts as needed. Multiple resort outlet locations.</li>
<li>Experienced in the use of proper PPE per job task.</li>
<li>Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing time and priorities effectively.</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing maintenance and repair tasks.</li>
<li>Good communication skills to interact with engineering staff, management, and equipment suppliers.</li>
<li>Physical stamina and dexterity to handle heavy equipment and perform tasks that may require bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.</li>
</ul>
Definition:
The Carpenter constructs and repairs structural woodwork and equipment in the establishment. They work under the direction of the Director of Engineering and members of the facilities management team directing various activities of construction projects. Builds, installs, or repairs structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, wallboard, and various other materials in a manner conforming to local building codes. Assist facilities maintenance team with preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment, building automation systems, boilers, water softeners, fire alarm systems, etc. as assigned.

General Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Perform carpentry duties including constructing and repairing various items within Resort sites.</li>
<li>Builds, repairs, and installs all counters, cabinets, benches, partitions, floors, doors, code base, ceilings, hardware, building framework and trim.</li>
<li>Uses carpenter&rsquo;s hand tools using proper safety procedures; works from blueprint, drawings or oral instructions.</li>
<li>Installs glass in windows, doors, and partitions.</li>
<li>Safely demolishes walls, ceilings, cabinets and miscellaneous items promptly.</li>
<li>Diligently maintains all tools and equipment in clean, safe, and working order.</li>
<li>Maintains adequate inventory of supplies and materials on each project to ensure maximum productivity</li>
<li>Maintain records as required by regulations and policy.</li>
<li>Climbs ladders to replace damaged ceiling tiles, replaces floor tile and sheet plastic wall coverings.</li>
<li>Fine finishes items using sand papering techniques.</li>
<li>May assist with on-the-job instructions for less experienced carpenters in current carpentry techniques.</li>
<li>Performs manual duties as requested (i.e. moving supplies or furniture, removing trash or scrap metal.)</li>
<li>Assist with preventative maintenance duties to all physical structures of the facility and comply with all building safety codes. This is to include facility equipment and associated building automation controls.</li>
</ul>

<li>Must be able to interact with co-workers and have a sense of TEAM.</li>
