<div><p>We&rsquo;re currently seeking a highly motivated and energetic person to join our team as a <b>Human Resource Generalist </b>at our Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) manufacturing and distribution facility in <b>Fullerton, CA.
</b></p><p><b>Essential Functions:
</b></p><ul><li>Supports all aspects of internal and external recruitment and selection processes for hourly positions. Completes all new hire documents and data input.
</li><li>Conduct phone, Skype and/or in-person interviews
</li><li>Stay up to date with current recruiting methods
</li><li>Attend job fairs and careers events
</li><li>Coordinates, updates and delivers the new hire orientation program
</li><li>Contact new employees and prepare onboarding sessions
</li><li>Processes employee status changes such as promotions, salary adjustments, new hires and terminations. Tracks and prepares reports on employee status changes for the month, quarter and year
</li><li>Assists with the preparation and completion of the annual Affirmative Action Plan.
</li><li>Knowledgeable in all areas of Human Resources, employment, employee policies and procedures, employee records, leave of absences, benefits, compensation and employee relations
</li><li>Advises Managers, Supervisors and leads of policies and procedures, various state and federal regulations, salary-related issues and effective human resources practices in regard to employee issues
</li><li>Investigates charges of alleged discrimination based on race, sex, age, religion, national origin, and physical/mental disabilities
</li><li>Handles employee relations and provides feedback to employees and the leadership team
</li><li>Initiates and coordinates various activities designed to promote and maintain a high level of employee morale
</li><li>Other duties as assigned by Manager of Human Resources
</li></ul><p><b>Essential Skills:
</b></p><ul><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills
</li><li>Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
</li><li>Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
</li><li>Ability to speak effectively before groups of management and employees.
</li><li>Highly organized and detail oriented; with excellent time management skills
</li><li>Discrete, flexible and cooperative.
</li><li>Ability to update data in Human Resources Information Systems in conjunction with Shared Services.</li></ul></div>
<br><div><p><b>Basic Qualifications:
</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree from an accredited college or university
</li><li>Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience
</li><li>Familiarity with human resources information systems and applications and demonstrated proficiency in computer software programs.
</li><li>Knowledge of California employment laws.
</li><li>Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
</li></ul><p><b>Preferred Qualifications:
</b></p><ul><li>Prefer the bachelor&rsquo;s degree is in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field required.
</li><li>5 years of Human Resources experience
</li><li>HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
</li><li>HR experience at a large global corporation that includes partnering with an HR Shared Services function.
</li><li>Experience in a HR rotational development program at a large company.
</li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office suite with emphasis on Excel.
</li><li>Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems.
</li><li>Familiarity with human resources information systems and applications and demonstrated proficiency in computer software programs.

</b></p><p>The position includes competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package available day one of hire, including health insurance (medical, dental, vision), excellent 401k matching program, paid holidays and vacation. The salary range for this position is $72,000 to $95,000.</p></div>
