</p><p><b>Essential Functions:
</b></p><p>Responsible for designing and developing new products for aerospace industry.
</p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:
</b></p><ul><li>Designs and develops new products and product families reducing global requirement to conceptual designs then detailed designs.
</li><li>Analyzes research data, prior art and relevant specifications to define the design space.
</li><li>Confers with research personnel to clarify or resolve problems and validate design.
</li><li>Participates in the preparation of invention reports and preparation of other documentation required to file and prosecute patents.
</li><li>Prepares or coordinates preparation of product or system layout and detailed drawings.
</li><li>Coordinates building of prototype product.
</li><li>Plans and develops experimental test programs, coordinates test programs.
</li><li>Analyzes test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications.
</li><li>Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to design product and simulate performance.
</li><li>Works under the direction of a Sr. Engineer or Engineering Manager to manage new product development projects from concept development to design/product definition, verification and validation.

</li><li>Minimum 6 months of experience in design, development, research and/or testing (including internships and project experience)

NPD Engineer

<div><p>Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) is seeking a <b>Materials Specialist I </b>in our Fullerton, California location. HFS is a business unit of Howmet Aerospace, headquartered in Torrance, California. We hold the number one global position in aerospace fastening systems, and we&rsquo;re the North American leader in commercial transportation fasteners. Our high-tech, multi-material fastening systems are found nose to tail on aircraft and aerospace engines. </p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:
</b></p><ul><li>Moving raw materials throughout the manufacturing process as needed to maintain production schedules.
</li><li>Maintain inventory accuracy and control of material stores including finished goods and raw materials
</li><li>Package, stage, and ship finished goods. When necessary, expedite critical shipments
</li><li>Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement daily by your actions
</li><li>Take the initiative to resolve materials related issues with interaction from supervisor/Manager
</li><li>Perform physical counts of products/components in the manufacturing process or in storage as needed to assist in inventory audits.
</li><li>Perform other tasks as needed in support of manufacturing operations, customers, and suppliers
</li><li>Comply with all EHS rules and regulations and supervisory instructions. Report all incidents including injuries, spills, fires, property damage, and near misses to their supervisor
</li><li>Able to work with minimum or no supervision
</li><li>Practice 5s standards and keep area clean daily

</b></p><ul><li>Must be able to lift/move 30 lbs. (may not exceed per EHS policies)
