Chief Business OfficerAbout the OpportunityWe are a rapidly growing founder-led platform company operating across multiple business lines, including professional services, consumer products, digital ventures, strategic partnerships, education, media, and future acquisitions.As the organization continues to scale, we are seeking an exceptional Chief Business Officer (CBO) to serve as the founder's primary business partner and operational counterpart.This is not a traditional executive role. We are looking for a builder, operator, strategist, and growth leader who wants to help scale a portfolio of businesses into a market-leading platform.Position OverviewThe Chief Business Officer will serve as the senior business executive across all company entities and ventures, owning execution of the organization's growth strategy while enabling the founder to focus on vision, innovation, brand development, and strategic initiatives.This individual will oversee operations, finance, sales, marketing, business development, partnerships, and future acquisitions while building the systems, leadership team, and infrastructure necessary to scale multiple businesses simultaneously.The ideal candidate has previously served as a COO, CFO, CEO, President, Chief Business Officer, or similar executive leadership role and has a proven track record of scaling organizations, managing complex P&amp;Ls, leading acquisitions, building executive teams, and driving transformational growth.What Success Looks LikeWithin the first 12&ndash;24 months, this person will:<ul><li>Build scalable operating infrastructure across multiple business units</li><li>Establish company-wide KPIs and accountability systems</li><li>Improve profitability and operational efficiency across every department</li><li>Drive significant revenue growth across services, products, and digital business lines</li><li>Develop strategic partnerships that increase enterprise value</li><li>Identify and execute acquisition opportunities</li><li>Build leadership teams capable of operating independently</li><li>Create the operational foundation for substantial long-term enterprise growth</li></ul>Core ResponsibilitiesExecutive Leadership &amp; Business Strategy<ul><li>Serve as the founder's primary strategic and operational partner</li><li>Translate vision into actionable business plans</li><li>Develop and execute annual and long-term growth strategies</li><li>Lead executive planning, forecasting, and performance reviews</li><li>Build organizational structures capable of supporting rapid scale</li></ul>Operations &amp; Organizational Management<ul><li>Oversee day-to-day business operations across all entities</li><li>Implement and optimize SOPs across departments</li><li>Develop organizational structures, reporting lines, and accountability systems</li><li>Build KPI dashboards and performance scorecards</li><li>Ensure operational excellence across all business units</li></ul>Finance &amp; Corporate Development<ul><li>Own budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning</li><li>Lead enterprise-wide financial modeling and strategic planning</li><li>Manage banking relationships, lending partners, insurance providers, and external advisors</li><li>Evaluate capital allocation decisions</li><li>Support fundraising initiatives, investor relations, and strategic transactions</li><li>Lead acquisition sourcing, diligence, integration, and post-acquisition execution</li></ul>Sales &amp; Revenue Growth<ul><li>Oversee sales leadership and revenue operations</li><li>Drive customer acquisition, conversion, retention, and lifetime value initiatives</li><li>Develop pricing strategies and revenue optimization programs</li><li>Establish forecasting processes and revenue accountability systems</li><li>Create incentive structures that drive performance</li></ul>Marketing &amp; Growth<ul><li>Partner with marketing leadership to align growth initiatives with business objectives</li><li>Evaluate campaign performance and marketing ROI</li><li>Oversee customer acquisition and retention strategies</li><li>Support new product launches, expansion initiatives, and market development</li></ul>Partnerships &amp; New Ventures<ul><li>Identify, negotiate, and execute strategic partnerships</li><li>Evaluate new business opportunities, licensing initiatives, and expansion strategies</li><li>Structure joint ventures and business development initiatives</li><li>Build scalable business lines beyond the company's current offerings</li></ul>People &amp; Leadership<ul><li>Recruit, mentor, and develop senior leadership teams</li><li>Hold department leaders accountable to clearly defined KPIs</li><li>Build a high-performance, ownership-driven culture</li><li>Drive succession planning and organizational development</li></ul>Ideal BackgroundRequired<ul><li>10&ndash;15+ years of executive leadership experience</li><li>Previous experience as a COO, CFO, CEO, President, Chief Business Officer, or equivalent</li><li>Proven track record of scaling organizations through periods of rapid growth</li><li>Experience leading acquisitions, integrations, or corporate development initiatives</li><li>Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and P&amp;L management expertise</li><li>Experience managing finance, operations, sales, and marketing functions simultaneously</li><li>Demonstrated success building executive teams and organizational infrastructure</li><li>Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong bias toward action and execution</li></ul>Preferred<ul><li>Experience in founder-led businesses</li><li>Multi-entity or portfolio-company experience</li><li>Consumer, service-based, technology, healthcare, wellness, education, or product-based businesses</li><li>Experience with growth-stage or private-equity-backed organizations</li><li>Exposure to mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships</li></ul>Who Will Thrive HereThis role is for someone who:<ul><li>Thinks like an owner, not an employee</li><li>Wants to build and scale businesses rather than simply manage them</li><li>Is energized by complexity, speed, and accountability</li><li>Can seamlessly move between strategy and execution</li><li>Solves problems before they reach the founder</li><li>Enjoys creating systems, teams, and infrastructure that drive growth</li><li>Wants to help build a highly valuable, diversified business platform</li></ul>This is a highly visible leadership position requiring exceptional commitment, responsiveness, and ownership.
