What is a Customer Service Representative or Patient Advocate for IME Guards? A patient advocate for IME Guards will accompany a claimant (injury victim) during a medical appointment given by a doctor hired by a defense lawyer in a lawsuit. The appointments take place mostly in the Bronx, Westchester, Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan.What qualities does a Patient Advocate possess?<ul><li>Patient, empathetic, and passionately communicative;</li></ul><ul><li>Detail-oriented;</li></ul><ul><li>Punctual and professional;</li></ul><ul><li>Assertive but not contentious;</li></ul>Responsibilities<ul><li>Meet the claimant at doctor&rsquo;s office;</li></ul><ul><li>Make a detailed hand-written record of the IME;</li></ul><ul><li>Create a computerized report of the IME; and</li></ul><ul><li>Submit the report in a timely manner.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Strong communication and listening skills;</li></ul><ul><li>Proficient with Microsoft Word;</li></ul><ul><li>Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of personalities;</li></ul><ul><li>High school diploma or higher;</li></ul><ul><li>Owns a car, not required but a big plus; and</li></ul><ul><li>Fluent Spanish is not required but a huge plus;</li></ul>Job Type: Part-timePay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hourEducation:<ul><li>High school or equivalent (Preferred)</li></ul>Language:<ul><li>fluent Spanish (Preferred)</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>Driver's License and your own car (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
