As an RN in the <b>Pre-op/Phase II Recovery Unit</b>, you will prep and recover patients having surgery in our 13 room OR which provides variety of services to include, but not limited to, Plastic Surgery, GYN, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, Surgical Oncology, Vascular Surgery, and Robotics.</p>

POSITION SUMMARY</b></p>
<p>
The Vice President, Patient Safety &amp; Quality, serves as the executive leader for patient safety, quality and service at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. This position works to eliminate preventable harm to patients, family members, and staff, to attain unsurpassed clinical and patient-reported outcomes and experience, and to build hospital-wide participation through transparency, collaboration, and mutual learning. Working in partnership with senior administrative and medical staff leadership, the Vice President will set the organizational strategy for quality, safety, and service and lead a comprehensive quality/performance improvement program.</p>
<p>
This position is responsible for planning and directing the hospital&rsquo;s performance improvement programs to enhance the quality of care provided at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. This includes minimizing financial risk related to pay-for-performance programs and ensuring the best outcomes to strengthen the Johns Hopkins brand.</p>

You would care for pregnant undelivered women with high-risk maternal or fetal care requirements and low and high-risk delivered women (up to six weeks post-partum). The unit is one of only two Level IV Regional Perinatal Referral Centers for high-risk obstetrics in the State of Maryland and features a Fetal Therapy Program treating fetal conditions via intrauterine interventions throughout pregnancy.</p>

<p>Sibley Memorial Hospital, a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine, has a distinguished history of serving the community since its founding in 1890. As a not-for-profit and full-service community hospital, Sibley offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetric, oncology, orthopedic and skilled nursing inpatient services, as well as a 24-hour Emergency Department. Sibley&rsquo;s campus is also home to Grand Oaks, an assisted living residence, a medical building with physician offices and ambulatory surgery and imaging centers.</p>
<p>
The Patient Care Tech will provide nursing support for The Renaissance, a 45 bed skilled nursing/rehab facility at Sibley Memorial Hospital.</p>
<p>
The Clinical Technician (PCT) works as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with advanced training in specific clinical skills/competencies on the health care team.</p>
<ul>
<li>Periodically checks patients, takes vital signs, and observes condition of the patient and patient care equipment or devices.
</li><li>Provides personal care for patient including hygiene and physical comfort measures</li>
<li>Performs bedside glucose monitoring, EKG tracing, and phlebotomy</li>
<li>Inserts IVs
</li><li>Measures and records intake and output</li>
<li>Inserts and removes Foley catheters</li>
</ul>

<p><b>Minimum Education and Experience:</b></p>

<li>Current certification as CNA in the District of Columbia</li>
