Kiewit Building Group is searching for an internship candidate to join the team for our Summer 2026 internship program. This intern will provide support for a wide array of media, public relations, social media, marketing communication, community outreach and government affairs projects.</p></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>

Responsibilities</b></h2>
</div><div><ul><li>Research and write key company content shared through Kiewit internal and external channels</li>
<li>Vet and research media opportunities, as assigned</li>
<li>Create talking points and key messages in response to external speaking engagements or interview opportunities</li>
<li>Monitor traditional and social media</li>
<li>Help implement strategic and proactive PR plans among the company&rsquo;s different business sectors</li>
<li>Brainstorm creative ideas for newsroom, marketing, social media and intranet content</li>
<li>Develop and write content for external marketing communications, including ads and sponsorships, website content and social media campaign</li>
<li>Participate in government affairs outreach, research and reporting</li>
<li>Help organize and support community outreach events such as collection drives, volunteering and speaking engagement</li>
</ul></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Qualifications</b></h2>
</div><div><p>
The following are basic qualifications for the role:</p>
<ul>
<li>Undergraduate junior or senior majoring in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, or a related field</li>
<li>Excellent writing, researching and verbal communication skills</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Adobe Creative Suite</li>
<li>High level of motivation, willingness to learn and work independently</li>
<li>Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy; strong organizational skills</li>
<li>Proactive, assertive and happy to assist others with a variety of tasks</li>
<li>Ideal candidates have existing knowledge of AP Style</li>

<ul><li>Regular, reliable attendance</li><li>Work productively and meet deadlines timely</li><li>Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment</li><li>Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.</li><li>Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.</li><li>May work at various different locations and conditions may vary</li></ul></div>

Base Compensation: $18.00/hr - $22.00/hr</p>
