Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our healthcare team, dedicated to providing comprehensive primary care across diverse patient populations. In this role, you will deliver high-quality medical services, perform detailed patient assessments, and develop personalized treatment plans. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on community health through innovative practices and patient-centered approaches.Duties<ul><li>Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments for patients of all ages, including infants, children, adults, and seniors.</li><li>Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses utilizing evidence-based protocols and clinical judgment.</li><li>Prescribe medications, including injections and IV infusions, following state and federal regulations while ensuring proper documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks.</li><li>Perform procedures such as suturing, dermal fillers, Botox or botulinum toxin treatments, spinal taps, catheterizations, and sterile processing techniques.</li><li>Coordinate care with specialists in areas like gastroenterology, infectious disease care, hospice &amp; palliative medicine, behavioral health, and geriatrics to optimize patient outcomes.</li><li>Engage in telehealth consultations to expand access to care while maintaining compliance with HIPAA standards.</li><li>Participate in clinical research initiatives and case management activities to enhance evidence-based practice.</li><li>Provide patient education on topics like family planning, nutrition, memory care, and post-acute discharge planning.</li><li>Assist with triage duties in urgent care or emergency room settings, managing acute pain cases and airway management when necessary.</li><li>Ensure accurate medical documentation using CPT coding for procedures and ICD coding for diagnoses to support utilization review and compliance standards.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Extensive experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks for efficient documentation and patient management.</li><li>Proficiency in performing advanced procedures including suturing, dermal fillers, Botox treatments, spinal taps, catheterization, phlebotomy, and IV insertions.</li><li>Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to accurately assess vital signs and conduct comprehensive physical examinations.</li><li>Ability to manage complex cases involving acute care scenarios such as ICU experience or Level I/II trauma center background.</li><li>Skilled in medication administration including injections and IV infusions with aseptic technique adherence.</li><li>Familiarity with medical imaging techniques like sonography or laboratory experience for diagnostic evaluation.</li><li>Excellent communication skills for patient education across diverse populations including pediatrics (working with children), senior care (memory/dementia/dementia care), assisted living residents, individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities.</li><li>Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality during all patient interactions and documentation processes.</li><li>Experience working within hospital medicine settings or outpatient clinics specializing in internal medicine or family practice.</li><li>Capable of performing triage assessments in urgent care environments while managing acute pain or infectious disease cases effectively.</li><li>Competence in utilizing various medical coding systems such as ICD-9/10 for accurate billing and documentation purposes.
