Job Summary: 
Responsible for fitting and welding of steel, aluminum and stainless-steel parts using a MIG process. Also required to perform other miscellaneous tasks, as assigned by his or her supervisor. 


Essential Responsibilities:
<ul><li>
Set up welding machines based on the job at hand or using a Welding procedure specification.</li><li>
Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements.</li><li>
MIG weld steel, aluminum and stainless-steel components based on the specifications of the blueprints and/or drawings.</li><li>
Inspect equipment as required to maintain proper function.</li><li>
Follow, create, and help maintain Welding Procedure Specifications.</li><li>
Operate machinery used in the production process or assist machine operators.</li><li>
Assemble items as instructed by superintendent.</li><li>
Complete housekeeping duties in assigned area daily and/or when required.</li><li>
Follow all company rules and policies.</li><li>
Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.</li><li>
Work with other employees to maximize productivity and efficiency.</li><li>
Prepare product for shipment.</li><li>
Lift raw materials, final products, and items packed for shipment, manually (up to 70 pounds), or using a hoist.</li><li>
Uphold all safety rules, OSHA standards, and quality standards, applicable to the responsibilities above.</li></ul>
Required Skills &amp; Abilities:
<ul><li>
Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience in welding and fabrication using MIG or TIG practices.</li><li>
Ability to read tape measure, calipers and angle gauges.</li><li>
Ability to read and understand production assembly drawings, blueprints, specifications, and welding symbols.</li><li>
Effective oral and written communication.</li><li>
Strong Mechanical aptitude.</li></ul>

 Education and Experience:
<ul><li>
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education preferred.</li><li>
Good Mathematical skills.</li><li>
Knowledge of welding and fabrication of piping and structural steel assemblies.</li><li>
Knowledge of machines and tools including their designs and uses.</li></ul>

Physical Requirements:
<ul><li>
Ability to lift, move, and carry materials and equipment up to 70 pounds consistently.</li><li>
Must be able to pass clearance for respirator and wear respirator for up to 8 hours per day.</li><li>
Ability to stand or walk for up to 12 hours per day.</li><li>
Must be able to utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment required for each job task (Steel toed shoes, eye protection, hearing protection, gloves, hard hat).</li><li>
Be able to operate varied hand and power tools and related equipment.</li><li>
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision to identify electrical wires and pipes, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.</li><li>
Must be able to concentrate on a task over a long period of time without being distracted.</li><li>
Finger dexterity to operate above-mentioned tools and equipment.</li><li>
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform work.</li><li>
Ability to pass pre-employment drug test.</li></ul> 


The base pay range for this position is $24/hr - $30/hr.</div>
