<p>
The Supplemental Academic Advisor reports to the Director of Academic Advising. The Supplemental Advisor provides direct support in the development, progression and completion of students&rsquo; educational and career goals. Provide academic, transfer and career advising while supporting student success and program completion by creating &ldquo;My
<br>
Academic Pathways&rdquo; (MAPs) with each student.<br>
<br>
Supplemental Academic Advisors will actively listen and respond to student needs to effectively connect them to other wrap around services such as tutoring, success coaching, counseling, financial aid, etc. This position will support divisional, departmental and campus wide programs such as orientation, senior star day(s), transfer workshops and other related campus events supporting student success, student persistence, and student retention. Hours may fluctuate based on departmental advising needs, with expanded availability expected during peak advising times. This work may include evenings, occasional Saturdays, and work at various locations.<br>

Must demonstrate a strong commitment to serving a diverse, multicultural population and work effectively within a team-based environment, with an emphasis on continuous improvement and alignment with the community college mission and philosophy.<br>

Adjunct Positions are filled by semester on an as needed basis. Applicants in this applicant pool are reviewed when the department has an immediate need to fill a vacancy. Review of applications will then stop for the semester once the vacancy has been filled.<br>

The Music Program at Lansing Community College is seeking adjunct (part-time) faculty to teach Applied and Private Lessons to Voice and/or Piano students. Faculty may have the opportunity to teach other courses in the Music Program. Participate in program/department meetings and divisional/college-wide committees with a focus on continual improvement of programs and learning outcomes. Participate in curriculum and course development, course and program coordination, tutoring and advising students, mentoring and reviewing peers, and College initiatives. Participate in student assessment initiatives within the program and college, and implement the determinations of those initiatives.
