We are excited to offer a full-time dietetic post and a 12-month temporary dietetic post within Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT) to join our mental health and eating disorder band 5 rotation. You will have the opportunity to develop your dietetic skills and build experience in the different mental health and eating disorder services included below with the potential for expansion to other areas in the future.

<li>Healthy Living Service - Acute older adult mental health and dementia inpatient wards based at The Mount</li>
<li>Healthy Living Service – Acute adult mental health inpatient wards based at The Becklin Centre and Newsam Centre</li>
<li>Link-ED Adult Eating Disorder Service based across West Yorkshire</li>
</ul>
The post holder will support the delivery, maintenance and development of a clinical dietetic service, providing specialised dietary advice to service users and their families or carers. They will be responsible for managing and prioritising their clinical workload, maintaining accurate clinical records and working collaboratively with the wider MDT to support coordinated care. The role includes delivering nutrition and dietetic training to staff and contributing to student education.
 
The post holder will work with service users to not only improve their nutrition, but to also encourage behaviour change to empower servicer users to make positive changes that will improve their mental health, physical health, and overall quality of life.
 Healthy Living Service
 The Healthy Living Service are a team of Dietitians, Physiotherapists and Healthy Living Advisors who offer support to help service users improve their physical health. As a Dietitian within the team, you will work in an inpatient setting (The Mount, The Becklin Centre and The Newsam Centre) offering individual consultations to service users as well as support and advice to staff teams through the MDT. You will be supported by the Clinical Lead Dietitian and Specialist Mental Health Dietitians.
 
The Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT) is the main provider of Mental Health and Learning Disability services in Leeds. We also provide specialist inpatient services in York and some highly specialised services across the country. Applicants should be aware that individuals requiring a visa to work in the UK, the Trust only provides sponsorship for registered healthcare practitioner roles (this does not include Healthcare Support Workers) . This is an essential requirement, and the Trust is unable to offer you a role if you do not meet Trust requirements for sponsorship and Home Office requirements for a visa.
 
Link-ED Adult Eating Disorder Service
 The Link-ED Adult Eating Disorder Service support service users across West Yorkshire who have disordered eating secondary to their primary mental health issue, these include Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa and Binge Eating Disorder. We are a small team of Nurses, Occupational Therapists and Dietitians.Under guidance of the Clinical Lead Dietitian, the successful candidate will contribute to the work of the service in the following capacity:
 <ul>
<li>Delivery of dietetic groups to service users</li>
<li>Training and developing CMHT teams around West Yorkshire about nutrition and eating disorders</li>
<li>1:1 support with service users around their eating difficulties</li>
<li>Developing practical support groups for service users</li>
<li>Involvement with the Open Access Pathway- developing content for the service Instagram page and facilitating The HUB peer support group.</li>
</ul>
You will be joining an innovative and growing dietetic community of Dietitians and Dietetic Associate Practitioners. You will gain a wealth of experience not just from your dietetic colleagues but the wider MDT and most importantly our service users presenting with needs such as disordered eating, eating disorders, diabetes, weight management, malnutrition, and re-feeding syndrome.
 The trust has an established management and clinical support structure including a 12-month preceptorship programme (for all new graduate nurses and AHPs), regular clinical and management supervision, monthly trust wide dietetic meeting and access to peer support and other development opportunities. We work closely with Leeds Beckett University delivering student placements A, B and C. As an organisation we are keen to support research and development activities.
 All team members have access to full remote technology (phones and laptops) to support smart ways of working. LYPFT services are adaptive in safely and effectively meeting the needs of our service users and carers.
 The post holder must be a qualified dietitian with HCPC registration
 A car driver is desirable, but not essential. The eating disorder post covers West Yorkshire and travel may be required across this area at times.
