HVAC Service Technician Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of residential HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment.</li>
<li>Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues to identify the root cause of malfunctions and recommend effective solutions.</li>
<li>Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and identify potential problems before they escalate.</li>
<li>Install, repair, or replace components, such as compressors, motors, fans, thermostats, filters, and ductwork.</li>
<li>Collaborate with team members to coordinate work schedules, prioritize service calls, and efficiently complete assignments.</li>
<li>Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner, addressing their concerns, explaining repair options, and providing recommendations for system improvements.</li>
<li>Accurately document service activities, including equipment status, repairs performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.</li>
<li>Stay updated on industry advancements, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance technical skills and knowledge.</li>
</ul>
HVAC Service Technician Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>Proven experience as a Residential Service HVAC Technician or similar role.</li>
<li>Competency Cards Preferred but not required</li>
<li>Strong technical skills and proficiency in diagnosing and repairing residential HVAC systems.</li>
<li>Solid knowledge of HVAC codes, regulations, and safety standards.</li>
<li>Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.</li>
<li>Exceptional customer service and communication skills.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time and workload.</li>
<li>Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces.</li>
<li>Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.</li>
</ul>
