Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN), proudly part of Jefferson Health, is seeking a full time Inpatient Psychiatry APC to join our team at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill located in Pottsville, PA.</h2>
LVHN and the Department of Psychiatry are dedicated to providing a safe and comfortable place for our community to overcome life&rsquo;s challenges. Our team of psychiatrists, psychologists, physician assistants, certified registered nurse practitioners, licensed clinical social workers, psychiatric nurses and occupational therapists work collaboratively to ensure the best outcomes for their patients. 
In addition to our inpatient behavioral health services at Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH)&ndash;Muhlenberg, LVH&ndash;Schuylkill and LVH&ndash;Pocono, we provide short-term services at LVH&ndash;Muhlenberg and LVH&ndash;Cedar Crest, which include individual, couples, family and group therapy. Our department also aids with medication management to children, adolescents and adults. 
We provide a full continuum of care in behavioral health from emergency evaluation to intensive care, partial hospitalization, outpatient follow-up, homecare and skilled nursing facility consultation. We are growing the Department of Psychiatry which is comprised of more than 30 Psychiatrists and 120 mental health professionals in addition to our residency and fellowship programs.

Summary 
Ensures that all medical surgical supplies and physician preference devices and equipment are available for all scheduled and Emergency procedures/cases. Monitors and maintains appropriate inventory levels of all items - both Inventory and Non-Inventory supplies. Supply Chain Lead Specialty is proactive in responding to and providing the required medical devices by accessing EPIC scheduling module well in advance of procedure/case/date. Supply Chain Lead Specialty collaborates with Clinical Directors, Patent Care Managers, Value Analysis Director, Surgery, Cath Lab, and Interventional Radiology leadership to achieve a zero - defects environment related to availability of supplies, devices, and equipment. Leads daily activities related to shift operational issues which include problem-solving, work delays, staffing issues, and training of employees. Communicates with Supervisor SCM Operations Specialty on the status of operations and employee performance and performs all supply management functions.
 
 
Job Duties<ul><li>
Maintains and manages multi-million-dollar expenditures of supplies, devices, equipment (including implants, bone, tissue, and other physician preference requested items needed) by ordering, purchasing, unpacking, and stocking/tracking medical supplies. Frequent collaboration with department/division to determine appropriate substitutes, as needed.</li>
<li>Reviews scheduled surgical/clinical procedures in EPIC Scheduling module to determine the availability of necessary equipment/supplies.</li>
<li>Acts as a liaison between supply chain, value analysis, vendor service representatives, A/P, Rish Management, Corporate Compliance and Revenue Cycle.
</li><li>Utilizes Lawson and EPIC Information systems extensively.
</li><li>Monitors multi-million-dollar consignment inventory, including all related files and documentation.</li>
<li>Performs analysis of supplies and equipment utilization for the purpose of standardization and cost effectiveness. Participates in standardization and/or cost reduction initiatives.
</li><li>Investigates problems relating to supplies and directs and supports staff and takes corrective action as needed..</li>
<li>Participates in annual physical inventory preparation and execution.</li>
<li>Provides necessary documentation for department leadership to modify and update Physician Preference Cards which drive the accuracy of case start time and zero defects environment.
</li><li>Monitors and audits critical systems to maintain optimal service.

Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>
High School Diploma/GED
</li><li>3 years Experience in Materials Management, Procurement, or Inventory Control.
</li><li>Demonstrates knowledge of PC's, and other related devices and software.
</li><li>Familiarity with medical terminology and medical supplies.
</li><li>Must demonstrate the ability to prioritize and work independently in a stressful changing environment.
</li><li>Must possess and exhibit excellent verbal and written communication, customer service, interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>
Associate&rsquo;s Degree in Business.

Physical Demands 
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
