<div>Position Overview:
The Operations Supervisor directly supervises operational activities in assigned sectors by monitoring, maintaining, and adjusting work assignments as needed to ensure service requirements are met. 
General Duties/Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Monitors traffic to ensure schedule adherence by serving as a Road Supervisor, Service Coordinator, working in the Radio Room, or at Dispatch.</li></ul><ul><li>
Ensure all runs are dispatched on time by dispatching personnel and equipment in response to service requests.</li><li>
Monitors bus operators reporting to work for fitness for duty ensuring compliance with the Company&rsquo;s mandates, policies, and procedures.</li></ul><ul><li>
In an expedient manner, formulates responses to situations as they arise to minimize disruptions in service and maintain safety.</li><li>
Communicates alternate route detours, when necessary, based on construction, accidents, or other special conditions.</li><li>
Responds to and investigates all accidents and incidents during tour of duty.</li><li>
Prompt notification of managerial personnel of serious incidents and accidents to ensure that reporting requirements are met.</li><li>
Responsible for contacting and interacting with appropriate emergency services, securing accident scenes, assess property damage and assist operator in gathering accident/incident information (i.e. witness&rsquo;s statement, vehicle information, police reports, photos, etc.)</li><li>
Prepares and maintains manual and computerized files and records including operations reports, incident logs, accident reports, and data concerning service interruptions, cancellations, and vehicle breakdowns.</li></ul><ul><li>
Completes attendance records, daily absentee reports, extra board work assignments, dispatch sheet, and records all required information.</li><li>
Reports to hospital where passengers or others involved are transported, gathering pertinent information and notify company officials as appropriate and providing timely updates to appropriate personnel.</li><li>
Monitor drivers for safe operation of vehicles, issuing violations for improper lane changes, excessive speed, tail gating, etc.</li><li>
Utilizes radar equipment for speed control.</li><li>
Monitors and supervises overall performance; investigate service complaints from Director of Operations or Westchester County Department of Transportation; record driving infractions or violations of company policy or procedure; answer drivers&rsquo; questions regarding routes, policy etc.; counsel drivers on performance when necessary.</li><li>
Act as bus operator to meet company demands.</li></ul> 
Reporting Responsibilities:
This position reports to the Director of Operations. 
Position Qualifications:<ul><li>
Must have High School diploma or equivalent required.</li><li>
Must have and maintain an excellent New York State Commercial Driver&rsquo;s License.</li><li>
Must maintain 19-A qualification.</li><li>
Minimum of 1 year experience operating a commercial vehicle, preferably a bus.</li><li>
Must have a minimum of 1 year working for Liberty Lines Transit Inc.</li><li>
Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.</li><li>
Must have and maintain an excellent CDL Driver&rsquo;s License with passenger and airbrake endorsements.</li><li>
No chargeable accidents within the last year.</li><li>
Ability to operate /drive a bus on an emergency basis, as needed.</li><li>
Must have an acceptable attendance record.</li><li>
Applicant must not have more than 4 points on their current driving abstract at the time of submission of the application.</li><li>

Physical and Sensory Requirements:<ul><li>
Ability to meet physical requirements in responding to emergencies.</li><li>
Ability to perform bus-related duties i.e., light bus maintenance.
</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.</li><li>
Ability to climb stairs, reach above shoulder level, walk extended distance, stand in moving vehicle, kneel, and sit for an undefined amount of time.</li><li>
Ability to work in an environment with dust, fumes, exhaust, various noise levels, various temperatures, indoor and outdoor weather conditions for an undefined amount of time.</li><li>
Ability to bend, lift, push and pull, up to 30 lbs. without assistance.</li><li>
Ability to work in both office and field environment.</li><li>
Ability to work days, evenings (including overnights), weekdays, weekends, holidays and overtime hours.</li><li>
