Lift New Rickstones is graded &lsquo;Good&rsquo; (November 2023) and has a state of the art building offering fantastic facilities for both students and staff. Over the last 8 years the academy has seen a huge increase in student numbers, with the number of students on roll more than doubling. The academy is a popular choice in the local area, is oversubscribed, and has added another new building to meet this demand.
Lift New Rickstones is a great place to work with a friendly and supportive team. Staff numbers have also increased and the academy is proud to boast high retention rates. Development is a priority with an extensive and successful CPD (Continuing Professional Development) programme to further develop our excellent staff.
We are looking for a Pastoral Leader to join our team and take a proactive role in supporting the wellbeing, behaviour, and attendance of our students. This is a vital position for someone who is passionate about helping young people thrive both personally and academically.
We are looking for someone who:
<ul><li>Has experience working with young people and motivating them to achieve their best</li>
<li>Has knowledge of Trauma Perceptive Practice (TPP) and experience of leading SEMH interventions</li>
<li>Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li>
<li>Can stay calm under pressure and manage complex situations, including behaviour incidents, with empathy and professionalism</li>
<li>Has a genuine commitment to supporting students&rsquo; personal development, wellbeing and safeguarding</li>
<li>Is confident working with staff, families and external agencies to support students</li>
<li>Can use data or is willing to develop skills to track and improve behaviour and attendance</li>
<li>Works well as part of a team and can also use their initiative to make a positive impact</li>

Pastoral Coordinator

Location: Midlands regional office, Birds Bush Road, Tamworth, Staffordshire, B77 2NE
Working pattern: Full-time, permanent (37 hours per week) 
 
Hybrid working: 3 days per week in the office, with flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the week

We're looking for an organised and proactive HR Coordinator to join our Midlands HR team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in supporting colleagues throughout their employment journey, from recruitment and onboarding through to payroll, absence management and employee records.
 
 
You'll work closely with school leaders, HR colleagues and our recruitment team to deliver an efficient, professional and people-focused HR service across the region, for 5 of our schools, including: Lift Greenwood, Lift Four Dwellings, Lift Lea Forest, Lift Percy Shurmer and Lift Anglesey. 
 
What you'll be doing 
 
<ul><li>Support recruitment and coordinate onboarding activities for new colleagues
 
</li><li>Complete safer recruitment and pre-employment checks
 
</li><li>Support payroll administration and help ensure colleagues are paid accurately and on time
 
</li><li>Maintain employee records and HR systems
 
</li><li>Manage HR queries through the regional HR inbox
 
</li><li>Produce HR correspondence and reports
 
</li><li>Support probation, absence and colleague lifecycle processes
 
</li><li>Help schools maintain compliance with employment and safeguarding requirements 
 
</li></ul>What we're looking for 
 
<ul><li>Experience working in an HR administration or HR coordination role
 
</li><li>Excellent organisation skills and strong attention to detail
 
</li><li>The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
 
</li><li>Experience working with HR systems and confidential information
 
</li><li>Strong communication and customer service skills
 
</li>Good IT skills, including Google Workspace or Microsoft Office 
<li>
 
</li></ul>Experience within education, local government, the NHS, housing, charities or another public sector organisation would be highly beneficial.
 
 
Experience of safer recruitment, payroll administration or school-based HR processes would also be an advantage, although not essential.
