A premier provider of quality post acute care, is currently seeking a Maintenence Assistant PER DIEM to join our team. Our vision is to provide our residents with the highest quality care in the most appropriate setting based on an individual's needs while respecting their individuality, independence and dignity.
The Maintenance Assistant will report to the Director of Maintenence and will assist to plan, organize, and ensure that the overall operation of the department, its maintenance programs and activities. Assures room readiness prior to all resident move-ins and maintains a preventative maintenance program for the community.<ul><li>
Makes daily rounds to assure that environmental services personnel are performing required duties and to assure that appropriate environmental services procedures are being rendered to meet the needs of the facility. Dailiy tasks will include fulfilling maintenance log requests, repairs, paint, etc.</li><li>
Makes written and oral reports/recommendations to the Administrator as necessary/required, concerning the operation of the Environmental Services/Maintenance Department.</li><li>
Participates in community surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies.</li><li>
Performs preventative maintenance tasks and small repairs including but not limited to the following:</li><li>
Painting and Wallcovering</li><li>
Drywall repair and Carpentry</li><li>
Snow Removal</li><li>
Grounds</li><li>
Responds to emergencies and is required to be &ldquo; on call&rdquo; schedule is based on the needs of the community</li><li>
Maintains and is responsible for the Life Safety Systems such as Fire Alarm and Suppression Systems and Emergency Preparedness.</li><li>
Schedules department work hours (including vacation and holiday schedules), personnel, work assignments, cleaning schedules, etc., to complete work.</li><li>
Investigates complaints and grievances made or filed by department personnel and provides report to Administrator.</li></ul>
Qualifications<ul><li>
Advanced technical certificate/trade (ex. HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical certificate) preferred</li><li>
2 years supervisory experience in building maintenance</li><li>
Understanding of the following:</li><li>
480/277 and 208/120 Power distribution</li><li>
Addressable Fire Alarm</li><li>
Resident Care and Security including Nurse Call system, staff communication</li><li>
Building Lighting Control Systems</li><li>
Building Heating and Cooling featuring Chiller/Boiler Hydronic Loops and natural gas/DX Package Units</li><li>
Integrated Outdoor Fresh Air and Exhaust</li><li>
Web based Building Automation Systems</li><li>
Circulating multi-temperature Hot Water generation</li><li>
Automatic Fire Protection Sprinkler system</li><li>
TELS system for routine equipment, fixture maintenance and filter changes</li></ul>
Job Type: PER DIEM
Pay: $19 per hours per diem
Experience level:<ul><li>
1-2 years</li></ul>
Schedule:
11am-7pm
AS NEEDED, will include some weekends
