Functions as an insurance liaison to include; accurate verifications precise case management validation and completion of authorizations and retrieval of denials.</li><li>
Completes and/or ensures accurate collection of patient payments and payment reconciliation via EMR payment log completes charge entry reconciliation prepares of bank deposits and cash receipt logs as assigned.</li><li>
Runs daily and weekly EMR administrative reports for clinic; manages `At a Glance Alerts' and reports in EMR systems; manages/reconciles reports (not in EMR) (Task List Unbilled Report etc).</li><li>
Assembles financial paperwork and medical record paperwork for physicians and/or clinical team; assists patients with completing of required office forms reviews all patient information for accurateness and completeness and witnesses all financial forms as required. Communicates duplicate or multiple medical record accounts to appropriate medical records personnel for merging.</li><li>
Requests and obtains referrals medical records or diagnostic reports from internal and external providers as assigned.</li><li>
Monitors and handles case management for patients in the EHR system as assigned.</li><li>
Maintains waiting area in clean and neat condition restocking materials as needed. Monitors administrative supplies and keeps administrative supplies at par levels.</li><li>
Responds to all payer-specific questions from patients and clinical providers as appropriate.</li><li>

Respiratory Therapist - Nights

<div>About this Job: <b>General Summary of Position</b><br>
Provides patient care to an assigned group of patients according to an established plan of care under the direction and supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and Georgetown University Hospital's philosophy policies procedures and standards<p><b>
Primary Duties and Responsibilities</b></p><br>
<ul><li>
Implements patients' plan of care as directed by the RN reporting information and findings to the RN and offering suggestions for revision of the plan of care as appropriate.
</li><li>Provides direct bedside care to patients as assigned inclusive of but not limited to: performs the activities of daily living bathing skin care toileting mouth care feeding and range of motion; assisting with ambulation mobilization and rehabilitation; assistance with crutches and walkers; and transporting of patients in wheelchairs and stretchers.</li><li>
Performs routine sterile and non-sterile treatments and other treatments identified by Unit/Hospital policy inclusive of but not limited to: tube feedings; ostomy care; Foley Catheter care; IV insertion/ monitoring/care; venipuncture; EKG; simple dressing changes and wound care; maintenance of drainage tubes with/without pump or suction; point of care testing; care of oxygen equipment ; and assistance with the application maintenance and removal of traction casts splints and exercise equipment.</li><li>
Participates in patient/family teaching as directed.</li><li>
Reports/records/documents information in designated areas of the medical record or via computerized systems according to established guidelines.
</li><li>Maintains a safe and orderly patient/unit environment.</li><li>
Contributes to the development and implementation of unit objectives.</li><li>
Participates in quality improvement initiatives.</li><li>
Relieves Unit Secretary due to volume absence and other operational needs inclusive of stocking and ordering medical and non-medical supplies to maintain adequate inventory on the units.
</li><li>Exemplifies C2C standards in all activities.</li><li>

<b>Minimal Qualifications</b><br>
<b>Education</b><ul><li>
High School Diploma or GED required
</li><li>Successful completion of Certified Nursing Assistant Program (CNA) preferred
</li><li>EMT Medical Assistant will be considered.
</li><li>Successful completion of GUH training program. required
</li></ul><b>Experience</b><ul><li>
1-2 years experience as a certified nursing assistant or related health care experience in an acute care setting preferred
</li></ul><b>Licenses and Certifications</b><ul><li>
CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required
</li><li>Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit.
</li><li>CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
</li></ul><b>Knowledge Skills and Abilities</b><ul><li>
Ability to perform direct patient care technologies;</li><li>
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;</li><li>
Good interpersonal skills;</li><li>
Ability to set priorities and work in a stressful environment.</li></ul>
