The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) will provide direct patient care in a correctional setting, including administering medications, monitoring patient conditions, assisting with treatments, and documenting care. This role will collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care while adhering to facility policies, state regulations, and infection control standards. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) will also support patient education and contribute to a safe and efficient healthcare environment.
How YOU can Make an Impact:<ul><li>
Provide direct patient care including assessments, monitoring vital signs, and administering prescribed treatments and medications as directed by the physician.

</li><li>Educate patients and facility staff on basic health and wellness topics, including disease prevention, medication management, and health maintenance.
</li><li>Ensure the medical unit is well-stocked with necessary supplies and equipment and that it remains organized and clean.
</li><li>Report any issues with medical equipment or facilities to the appropriate personnel to ensure continuous operation.
</li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned.
</li></ul>What we Ask of YOU:
<ul><li>A current, valid state(s) licensure, certificate and/or credentials documenting ability to practice in applicable role (LPN).
</li><li>A High School diploma or GED is required.
</li><li>An Associate&rsquo;s or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Nursing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
</li><li>1-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a correctional healthcare or similar environment.

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) provides high-quality, evidence-based psychiatric care to incarcerated individuals, including mental health assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, and psychotropic medication management. Working within a correctional healthcare setting, the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) collaborates with an interdisciplinary care team to ensure comprehensive mental health treatment and continuity of care. This role plays a critical part in addressing the unique mental health needs of the incarcerated population while ensuring compliance with facility protocols, legal regulations, and ethical standards.

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, evaluations, and risk screenings to diagnose mental health conditions and determine appropriate levels of care.

<ul><li>A current, valid, and unrestricted state license</li><li>
Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a concentration or certification in Psychiatric-Mental Health (PMHNP) is required.
</li><li>A current, valid DEA registration with authority to prescribe controlled substances, including psychotropic medications, is required.
</li><li>Board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) by a nationally recognized certifying body (e.g., ANCC) is strongly preferred.
</li><li>Minimum of 3&ndash;5 years of clinical experience as an NP, with at least 2 years focused on psychiatric or behavioral health care; correctional healthcare or work with underserved populations is highly preferred.

The Competency Trainer supports the delivery of competency restoration services for inmates with mental illness who have been deemed incompetent to stand trial. This role facilitates structured group sessions focused on legal education, court processes, and the development of skills necessary to assist in one&rsquo;s legal defense.
This position is a shared role and may also support general administrative functions at the site. The Competency Trainer works under the direction of clinical leadership and collaborates closely with mental health, custody, and legal teams to support treatment goals and program compliance.
