About the Role

Motive's Strategic Analytics (SA) team drives data-informed decision-making for the Product organization. We turn business metrics and product usage data into insight that directly shapes strategy across Growth, Churn, and Profitability.

This Senior Analyst role sits at the center of Profitability &mdash; a high-visibility domain in SA right now. You will own complex COGS and gross margin analysis across Motive's hardware and software product lines, work directly with our CPO, CTO, and senior leadership, and turn ambiguous executive questions into clear, defensible analytical POVs. This is not a reporting role. This is a problem-solving role.

You will start as a pure individual contributor and own your work end-to-end. Over time, there is a real path to taking on team leadership responsibilities.

What You&rsquo;ll Do

<li>Own end-to-end COGS and gross margin analysis for Motive&rsquo;s hardware and software product lines &mdash; including vehicle gateways, dashcams, and a growing suite of software products</li>

Must Haves:

<li>7+ years of experience in analytics, strategic finance, or a closely related field &mdash; with demonstrated depth in financial/operational modeling</li>
<li>Expert-level SQL &mdash; you write complex queries independently and fluently</li>
<li>Deep understanding of unit economics: gross margin, contribution margin, COGS structures, cost drivers, and scenario modeling</li>

About the Role

As a Collections Operations Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring our financial health through timely, accurate payment collection, robust customer communication, and meticulous operational process management. You&rsquo;ll handle direct customer inquiries, process various payment types, resolve complex operational and customer cases, and strictly follow established Service Level Agreements (SLAs). What You'll Do

<li>Accurately process and apply incoming payments (checks, wires, ACH) to the rightful customer accounts for multiple currencies (USD, CAD, MXN), using daily cash sheets and reports from bank portals.</li>
<li>Perform daily reconciliation of payment batches and thoroughly investigate any discrepancies to maintain accuracy.</li>
<li>Ensure successful payment cases across Term Collections, Vendor Finance, Fuel Card Partners, and Credit Collections are processed efficiently and accurately.</li>
<li>Generate cases for rebates related to vendor finance cash applications.</li>
<li>Analyze credit card payment trends, identify common reasons for declines, and provide actionable recommendations to enhance payment success.</li>
<li>Create Salesforce cases for accounts where invoices remain unpaid, and assist in troubleshooting and resolving payment processing errors.</li>
<li>Professionally handle escalated customer issues and complex payment disputes, working collaboratively with customer service, finance, and legal teams to achieve swift and correct resolution.</li>
<li>Manage and resolve a wide range of operational collections cases, including refund requests, chargebacks, payment plan adjustments, account closures, bulk invoices, invoice breakdowns, split/defer payments, updating Bill-to contacts, clearing invoices for opportunity closure, hardware returns, account reactivations, W-9 form requests, and third-party collections queries.</li>
<li>Securely and accurately process customer updates to credit card and ACH payment information while ensuring compliance with privacy and data security standards.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Proactively identify and reach out to customers regarding initial payment failures, provide clear guidance on resolution steps, and facilitate updates to payment information.</li>
<li>Communicate delays in processing requests, setting clear expectations through regular updates and estimated timelines.</li>
<li>Monitor and respond to customer emails related to payments and accounts, ensuring responses within a strict 3-hour SLA.</li>
<li>Manage and resolve customer inquiries across several channels (Billing, Billing CSA, Billing CSA Priority, Billing OPS BFS, CSM, and Spanish Support), delivering prompt and consistent information.</li>
<li>Manage all ACH return and chargeback cases, identifying root causes, initiating recoveries or account updates, and communicating effectively with customers to clarify issues and guide them through resolution steps.</li>
<li>Work closely with the billing department on delinquent accounts to facilitate cancellations and transition to third-party collections if necessary.</li>

Your Background That Likely Makes You A Match

<li>1-2 years&rsquo; experience in collections operations, payment processing, or customer-facing financial role (SaaS collections and Quote-to-Cash experience is a plus).</li>
<li>Proven ability to process payments with high attention to accuracy and detail.</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), able to clearly explain payment issues and solutions to customers.</li>
<li>Independent, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment.</li>

<li>Build, maintain, and iterate on automated checks and recurring reports that monitor data health (e.g., duplicate detection, missing key fields, invalid hierarchies).Surface prioritized issue lists and trends to GTM stakeholders.Support segmentation and enrichment initiativesPartner with regional teams (e.g., UK contact enrichment, Mexico account segmentation) to define data requirements and coverage goals.Validate enrichment inputs and outputs, ensuring they meet agreed standards before they are rolled out to sales teams.</li>
<li>Architect account hierarchy and structural integrity</li>
<li>Support the design and maintenance of parent&ndash;child account hierarchies in Salesforce.Ensure that account structures reflect real-world corporate relationships and support roll-up reporting and planning.Partner with Sales, RevOps, and GTM StrategyWork closely with business stakeholders to understand how data is used in daily workflows and executive reporting.Translate data quality findings into clear, actionable recommendations tied to sales outcomes.</li>
<li>Standardize documentation and operationalize for scale</li>
<li>Create and maintain process documentation, runbooks, and data dictionaries related to key sales data objects and fields.Recommend process and system changes that reduce recurring data issues and support sustainable data quality improvements.</li>

Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics) or equivalent practical experience in sales data, analytics, or operations.</li>
<li>Advanced SQL Proficiency: Expert ability to perform data validation, profiling, and reporting across large, complex datasets.</li>
<li>Salesforce Expertise: Strong working knowledge of Salesforce objects (Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, custom GTM fields), including complex hierarchies and segmentation logic.</li>
<li>AI &amp; Automation Proficiency: Experience leveraging AI/ML and LLM-powered tools to accelerate analysis, documentation, and data quality investigations while applying strong human judgment and validation.</li>
<li>Data Enrichment: Familiarity with data enrichment workflows and rigorous quality checks for third-party data sources.</li>
<li>Analytical Problem-Solving: Ability to perform structured root-cause analysis and bridge technical issues with tangible business impact.</li>
<li>Strategic Prioritization: Proven comfort in prioritizing issues based on impact, effort, and evolving stakeholder needs.</li>
<li>Executive Communication: Ability to communicate complex findings in a clear, concise, and business-friendly way to sales leadership.</li>

As an Associate Systems Administrator at Motive, you will be responsible for administration, management and support of our Salesforce and integrated Enterprise Systems applications used by our customers and internal Sales, Sales Operations, Marketing, Marketing Operations, Customer Success, Customer Support and Finance teams. You will have the opportunity to work with integrations as we expand our suite of applications.

You will be joining a dynamic and fast paced team of experienced Salesforce Administrators and Developers. We will work closely together to design the best solutions for our users, and make the best technical decisions for our company that will significantly impact Motive&rsquo;s growth and global expansion.
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
What You'll Do:</h3>
<ul><li>Provide real-time support for issues related to Salesforce and other integrated platforms; troubleshoot, escalate, and resolve issues promptly reported on the Enterprise Systems Service Desk.</li>
<li>Administer and support Salesforce.com, including but not limited to user management, data import/update, bug investigations, and enhancements.</li>
<li>Manage end-user profile configurations, reporting, dashboards, and permissions.</li>
<li>Oversee the onboarding for the Enterprise Systems Tech-Stack.</li>
<li>Analyze and prioritize enhancement requests and implement appropriate changes and/or escalate to the change advisory board when necessary.</li>
<li>Manage workload and projects, many on a time-sensitive basis, while maintaining accuracy and strong attention to detail.</li>
<li>Create and update documentation for different audiences within the team.</li>
<li>Implement minor admin-level changes in Salesforce and sandboxes based on gathered requirements.</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">What We're Looking For:</h3>
<ul><li>Engineering background with an understanding of technology related to Business Systems.</li>
<li>Minimum of 3 years of implementing, operating, maintaining, or using Salesforce.com, with hands-on administrative, configuration, and process management experience.</li>
<li>Proven ability to work independently, set priorities, and handle multiple tasks with concentration, speed, and accuracy to meet deadlines.</li>
<li>Salesforce Administration Certification .</li>
<li>Understanding of Salesforce.com's Sales and Service Cloud Architecture.</li>
<li>Excellent communicator with strong analytical, facilitation, and problem-solving skills</li>
<li>Experience with Zuora and NetSuite could be a plus.</li></ul></div>
