<div>Description
Under minimal supervision, coordinates the clinical assessments of the study subjects; analyzes and assists in interpreting moderately complex clinical research data. Prepares grant applications and documents and assists in protocol submissions (for e.g., Institutional Review Board, Grants and Contracts Office).
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) to join our research team. The CRC will play a critical role in supporting two NIH-funded clinical research projects by focusing on patient recruitment, participant engagement, and coordination of study-related meetings. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research while working closely with faculty investigators, research staff, and study participants.
Responsibilities<ul><li>
Patient Recruitment &amp; Enrollment<ul><li>
Identify, screen, and recruit eligible patients into study protocols.</li><li>
Obtain informed consent in compliance with institutional and federal guidelines.</li><li>
Serve as a primary contact for participants, ensuring a positive research experience.</li></ul></li><li>
Study Coordination<ul><li>
Schedule and coordinate study-related meetings, including with investigators, study staff, and collaborators.</li><li>
Maintain accurate and timely study records, logs, and regulatory documentation.</li><li>
Assist with scheduling participant visits, follow-up calls, and reminders.</li></ul></li><li>
Communication &amp; Collaboration<ul><li>
Act as a liaison between participants, investigators, and the research team.</li><li>
Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure smooth study operations.</li><li>
Provide regular updates to the principal investigators and project managers.</li></ul></li></ul>
Qualifications<ul><li>
Bachelors degree in sciences or related field.</li><li>
2 years of clinical research experience</li></ul>

Program Coordinator I - Neurology

<div>Description
The Ophthalmic Technician assists an Eye Center Physician and other technical support personnel to perform diagnostics tests necessary for evaluation of patient eye problem.
Responsibilities
1. Performs preliminary screening examinations for physician review including, but not limited to, central and peripheral visual field tests; ocular motility tests; color vision tests; pharmacological pupil tests; tonometry, tonography and tensilon tonography tests to determine intraocular pressure and pupil testing for size, equality and reaction prior to dilation.
2. Directs the flow of patients examined by an Eye Center physician; obtains medical and personal data for patient charts; screens patients for conditions excluding ocular examination; arranges for laboratory and other tests, ophthalmic photography, outpatient studies and patient admissions and surgery as requested by physician; alleviates patient and family concerns by explaining diagnostic procedures and method of treatment.
3. Calibrates and maintains all instruments used including, but not limited to bio-microscopes, lensometer, keratometer, tangent screen, slit lamp and tonometers; cleans and stocks consultation rooms and microbiology laboratory with drugs and other supplies as needed.
4. Sterilizes and sets up instruments for ophthalmic surgical procedures; assists with minor office surgery, laser treatments and operating room surgery as required.
5. Performs other duties as assigned.

Ophthalmic Technician-NYEE Ophthalmology (85th St)

Job Title: Per Diem Social Worker - Social Work - Mount Sinai West - Sundays: 9am -5pm 
The Per Diem Social Worker, under general supervision, assists patients and their families in understanding illness and disabilities and resolving personal, financial and environmental difficulties which interfere with obtaining maximum benefits from medical care. Specific duties may vary by area assigned. Develop collaborative relationships with other disciplines to assure effective patient care. After appropriate training, demonstrates competency for specific patient population. In specific program areas (e.g. Renal and Transplant), more detailed job descriptions specific to the program area have been developed.
Responsibilities<ul><li>
Interview patients and families to assess and evaluate patients' social, psychological and environmental situations. Review information obtained from patient care staff and medical records, to determine patient needs.</li><li>

The (Per Diem) Clinical Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse who provides safe, competent quality care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of patients and significant others.
Responsibilities
Patient Care
1. Delivers patient care by incorporating the tenets of the professional practice model of Relationship Centered Care and through the application of the nursing process based upon theory, research, evidence-based practice, and approved organizational nursing standards.
2. Assesses and evaluates patient care needs and applies critical thinking skills in patient care management.
3. Integrates relevant assessment and intervention skills in the delivery of nursing care.
4. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care.
5. Prioritizes all aspects of patient care including teaching, rounding, coaching, and planning after hospital care and delegating to others as appropriate.

Per Diem Clinical Nurse-Nights - Mount Sinai Hospital - MICU

<div>Description
The Ophthalmic Technician assists an Eye Center Physician and other technical support personnel to perform diagnostics tests necessary for evaluation of patient eye problem.
Responsibilities
1. Performs preliminary screening examinations for physician review including, but not limited to, central and peripheral visual field tests; ocular motility tests; color vision tests; pharmacological pupil tests; tonometry, tonography and tensilon tonography tests to determine intraocular pressure and pupil testing for size, equality and reaction prior to dilation.
2. Directs the flow of patients examined by an Eye Center physician; obtains medical and personal data for patient charts; screens patients for conditions excluding ocular examination; arranges for laboratory and other tests, ophthalmic photography, outpatient studies and patient admissions and surgery as requested by physician; alleviates patient and family concerns by explaining diagnostic procedures and method of treatment.
3. Calibrates and maintains all instruments used including, but not limited to bio-microscopes, lensometer, keratometer, tangent screen, slit lamp and tonometers; cleans and stocks consultation rooms and microbiology laboratory with drugs and other supplies as needed.
4. Sterilizes and sets up instruments for ophthalmic surgical procedures; assists with minor office surgery, laser treatments and operating room surgery as required.
5. Performs other duties as assigned.
