ROLE OVERVIEW and PURPOSE:

The Patient Services Representative (PSR) works to support the mission and vision of Neighborhood Healthcare by supporting clinics with front office tasks. The PSR&rsquo;s primary roles are to direct incoming calls to ensure they are transferred to the appropriate contact within the clinic and assist patients with scheduling and re-scheduling healthcare appointments.

Schedule: The scheduled work hours are Tuesday&ndash;Friday, 8:30am&ndash;5:30pm (lunch 12:00&ndash;1:00pm) and Saturday, 8:30am&ndash;4:30pm (lunch 12:00&ndash;12:30pm).

**Please note, this is a temporary full-time position with an anticipated end of assignment in July 2026.**

RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct Patient Care
<ul>
<li>Assesses incoming phone calls to determine the correct course of action based on customer's information and needs</li>
<li>Corresponds with patients, salespeople, and visitors in an accurate, expeditious, courteous, and competent manner via in-person, telephone, and/or mail</li>
<li>Conducts appointment reminder calls to all patients; including noted documents required for their visit</li>
<li>Impacts patient experience by demonstrating courteous and helpful behavior and a commitment to accuracy</li>
</ul>
Provider and Team Support
<ul>
<li>Generates daily lists of scheduled appointments for the clinic</li>
<li>Shares accountability for overall patient health outcomes by working in coordination with care teams</li>
<li>Operates to instill confidence in our care and facilities to patients, fellow employees, and other stakeholders</li>
</ul>
Clinical Administration
<ul>
<li>Schedules appointments and enter all required data into electronic scheduler</li>
<li>Tracks and records filled and cancelled appointments</li>
<li>Prepares patient charts prior to their appointments</li>
<li>Verifies patient appointments and arrival time at registration</li>
<li>Receives and records patient payments in computer and ledger for services received</li>
<li>Verifies patient records are up to date and accurate; makes appropriate changes in computer system, as needed</li>
<li>Completes ongoing/annual training for position compliance</li>
</ul>
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
<ul>
<li>High school diploma/GED required</li>
<li>One year customer service experience required; in a healthcare setting preferred</li>
<li>Experience working with electronic medical records and multi-phone lines preferred</li>
<li>Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred</li>
</ul>

Pay range: $22.88 - $32.03 per hour, depending on experience

ROLE OVERVIEW and PURPOSE:

The Maintenance Technician II will maintain the integrity of the NHC sites and ensure that facilities are safe and well-functioning. This role will perform a variety of repairs and/or troubleshooting tasks under minimal supervision to complete assigned work orders. This position may be responsible for overseeing ongoing maintenance projects and providing guidance to the Maintenance Technician I as needed.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

RESPONSIBILITIES:
<ul>
<li>Perform semi-skilled and skilled facilities maintenance work involving carpentry, plumbing, roofing and electrical repairs and maintenance of buildings and facilities.</li>
<li>Clean, maintain and repair building fixtures and equipment including locks, windows, doors, carpet, roof drains, shelving and furniture.</li>
<li>Replace HVAC filters and perform minor maintenance or repairs to HVAC units to keep condensate drains unplugged.</li>
<li>Repair plumbing fixtures, unclog drains and maintain plumbing systems.</li>
<li>Create and execute work orders using SharePoint, prepare reports on work performed.</li>
<li>Track and report on repair and maintenance activities; complete and maintain a variety of records.</li>
<li>Assist with the preparation of specifications for contracts, quotes, proposals and publicly bid projects related to the service and repair of facilities and equipment.</li>
<li>Conduct field inspections and review work-in-progress; identify and resolve issues with outside contractors, escalating issues to the manager as needed.</li>
<li>Initiate and collaborate with outside vendors and contractors in identifying unusual problems and/or maintaining and repairing facilities and buildings.</li>
<li>Report potential safety problems related to facilities, and unsafe conditions as identified; lock and unlock doors of facilities.</li>
<li>Coordinate with contract personnel to identify maintenance needs; obtain information needed to define project scope and estimate time, labor, equipment and material needs.</li>
<li>Make moderate repairs to roofs, brick, asphalt, plaster and concrete.</li>
<li>Paint walls and make extensive drywall repairs.</li>
<li>Operate automotive equipment and hauling material; receive and store supplies.</li>
<li>Make moderate furniture, cabinet, asphalt tile and linoleum repairs.</li>
<li>
Replace light bulbs and tubes and repair/replace ballasts or fixtures.
</li>
<li>Perform tasks to upkeep and maintain the appearance of the property from the exterior including cleaning, landscape, irrigation and painting.
</li>
<li>Promptly utilize the facility&rsquo;s SharePoint system and respond to, follow-up on, create, and complete requests.
</li>
<li>Use tact and diplomacy in all interactions with customers.
</li>
<li>Coordinate with departments and vendors; and act as liaison to departments.
</li>
<li>May oversee staff or contractors in the repair and maintenance of facilities and infrastructure.
</li>
<li>Promote a positive image by maintaining excellent internal and external customer relations.
</li>
<li>Build and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, other employees, and the public using principles of good customer service.
</li>
<li>Perform related duties as assigned.
</li>
</ul>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
<ul>
<li>Five (5) years of progressively responsible, full-time experience in building maintenance and repair required including:
<ul><li>General construction, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, and related equipment, with experience overseeing outside contractors a plus.</li>
</ul></li><li>Equivalent to completion of high school preferred.</li>
<li>Vocational or technical school courses related to construction, building systems maintenance, or equipment repair preferred.</li>
<li>Valid CA driver&rsquo;s license and proof of valid automobile insurance within 30 days of hire.</li>
</ul>
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
<ul>
<li>Knowledge of principles and practices used in the performance of a variety of skilled building trades work involving carpentry, general construction, electrical, plumbing, painting, roofing, heating/air conditioning systems, masonry, HAZMAT abatement, appliance repairs, woodwork, and landscaping.</li>
<li>Knowledge of electrical theory, systems and energy management systems</li>
<li>Knowledge of mechanical and HVAC systems</li>
<li>Knowledge of principles of inventory control and asset management.</li>
<li>Knowledge of pertinent local, State and Federal laws, ordinances, and rules.</li>
<li>Knowledge of Cal/OSHA, ADA, NFPA, NEC, CBC Title 22 and Title 24 regulations.</li>
<li>Knowledge of construction practices.</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior composition, typing and proofreading skills</li>
<li>Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form</li>
<li>Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously</li>

</ul>Pay Range: $29.71 - $41.60 per hour, depending on experience
