About this position</b></p>
<p>
Provides advanced life support care to the sick and injured and safely transports customers of all ages to a medical facility. In addition, the paramedic assists with other services and events as directed by North Memorial Ambulance Service.</p>

Effective deployment of North Memorial Ambulance resources that maximizes response times while efficiently utilizing a minimum number of units. The EMD triages transportation requests, strategically positions resources, recommends effective routes while correctly interpreting computer aided dispatch recommendations. The EMD will also be required to triage incoming calls and provide pre-arrival instructions to callers when appropriate</p><br>

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing compassionate quality care that is customer and family focused. The RN assesses, diagnoses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents care of customers according to hospital and care center policies and standards of professional nursing practices. <ul><li>Facilitates PCC communication by phone, Vocera, Epic Secure Chat, and in-person with other departments to assist with managing patient flow</li><li>Assists the PCC lead with updating the whiteboard, including the use of icons</li><li>Assists in answering call lights and notifying staff of patients&rsquo; needs</li><li>Partners with surgeons&rsquo; clinics and primary care clinics to obtain required documents (consult notes &amp; preop H &amp; Ps) prior to surgery
</li><li>Verifies 2 patient identifiers before scanning any documents into a patient&rsquo;s chart in compliance with HIPPA</li><li>Updates Procedure Pass as applicable</li><li>Collaborates with preop call RNs on chart prep
</li><li>Enters showstopper alerts for missing documents less than 48 hrs prior to surgery and notifies PCF and/or manager as needed
</li><li>Creates new shadow charts and manages existing charts</li><li>Retrieves medical records when requested by providers</li><li>Updates employee phone list
