Summary of Position: 
Under the supervision of the Unit Manager/ADON/DON, the RN assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of residents/patients for a shift of duty. Nursing care is provided through assessment, implementations, and evaluation of the plan of care. The RN adheres to the standards of care for the area, manages the environment to maintain resident/patient safety, and supervises the resident/patient care activity performance by nursing assistants and helpers. Follows all North Shore’s policies and procedures. Performs duties as defined by the State Nurse Practice Act. Follows where applicable JCAHO standards.
 
Who We’re Looking For: 
<ul>
<li>An RN with an active license and a heart for elder care</li>
<li>Someone who values teamwork, accountability, and pride in their work</li>
<li>Must have and maintain current CPR certification</li>
<li>Able to use necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.).</li>
<li>Able to calculate drug dosage</li>
<li>Meets all health requirements imposed by law</li>
<li>Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other center staff</li>
<li>Able to read, write, speak and understand English</li>
<li>Demonstrated basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications</li>
<li>Skilled nursing experience preferred—but passion and attitude matter most</li>
<li>New graduates welcome with training and support provided</li>

Summary of position: 
Responsible for overall maintenance of the center and maintenance budget. Duties include preventative maintenance and repairs inside and outside the center providing a safe, attractive and orderly environment for the benefit, use, enjoyment and protection of residents, employees and center visitors. Conducts routine tests, inspections on center system such as emergency generator, sprinkler systems, door alarms, call light system, hood/duct system and hot water systems. Responsible for fire drills, and initiating/updating the fire and
 
disaster preparedness plans.
 
Requirements of the position: 
<ul>
<li>High School diploma (or equivalent)</li>
<li>At least 2 years of prior maintenance experience</li>
<li>Must have valid driver’s license</li>
<li>Satisfactory driving record with no more than three (3) moving violations in the past three (3) years</li>
<li>No record of Reckless Driving or DUI/DWI in the past seven (7) years</li>
<li>Demonstrated competence in electricity, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, carpentry, plastering and painting needed</li>
<li>Ability to plan, organize, prioritize</li>
<li>Ability to read, write, speak and understand English</li>
<li>Computer proficiency with Microsoft products</li>
<li>Able to work on-call</li>
