<div><p><b>The Orange County Manager's Office is currently seeking an assistant to work with the Orange County Arts Commission (OCAC). </b>This position provides administrative, marketing, and technical support to the OCAC. The assistant will work 20 hours per week on a flexible schedule based out of the OCAC's office at the Eno Arts Mill in Hillsborough. Occasional nights and weekends will be required.</p></div>

Assists in the marketing and promotion of county-wide arts happenings through social media, websites, e-marketing, press releases, and other outreach efforts.<br>
<br>
Manages the social media presence of Orange County Arts Commission and its affiliates including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and video platforms such as YouTube.<br>
<br>
Creates engaging, well-written content for the artsorange.org website, e-newsletters, and social media posts.<br>
<br>
Help manage websites for Orange County Arts Commission, Piedmont Laureate, Big Night In for the Arts, and Uproar Festival.<br>
<br>
Help plan, develop, and manage programs, events and projects.<br>
<br>
Interacts with the public, County staff, elected officials, committee members, and representatives of arts organizations, artists, and businesses.<br>
<br>
Performs administrative and clerical support activities as needed.</p></div>
<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Full Performance of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities</b></h2></div>
<div><p>Ability to communicate and advocate effectively orally and in writing.<br>
<br>
Thorough knowledge of online social media, MS Office products, Excel and PowerPoint required.<br>
<br>
Prior experience with WordPress preferred.<br>
<br>
Graphic design experience preferred.<br>
<br>
A background in or passion for the visual, performing, and/or literary arts.</p><div><b><i><br>
