Job Description 
Job Summary
As Chief Engineer, you will lead the Engineering &amp; Maintenance operations of the property, ensuring all systems run efficiently and safely. You will oversee preventive maintenance programs, ensure compliance with local regulations, and maintain high sustainability standards in line with Our Habitas&rsquo; ethos.
This leadership role demands technical expertise, strategic planning, and a hands-on approach to deliver exceptional guest experiences while preserving our natural surroundings.
Key Responsibilities<ul><li>
Manage day-to-day operations of the Engineering department, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and building maintenance.</li><li>
Lead preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure uninterrupted operations and guest comfort.</li><li>
Supervise and mentor the engineering team, promoting a culture of safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement.</li><li>
Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and local authorities for inspections, certifications, and special projects.</li><li>
Ensure all engineering practices comply with health &amp; safety standards, fire and life safety codes, and environmental guidelines.</li><li>
Collaborate with other department heads to support operational needs and special events.</li><li>
Develop and control the engineering budget, including energy consumption and cost-saving initiatives.</li><li>
Implement and track sustainability efforts aligned with Our Habitas environmental goals.</li></ul> 
Qualifications<ul><li> 
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical preferred).</li><li>
Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior engineering position, ideally within the hospitality sector.</li><li>
Strong knowledge of building management systems (BMS), energy management, and sustainability best practices.</li><li>
Proven leadership and team management skills.</li><li>
Excellent problem-solving and project management capabilities.</li><li>
Fluency in English required; Arabic is a plus.</li><li>
Experience working in remote or environmentally sensitive locations is an advantage.</li></ul>

Job Description 
Under the general guidance of the Chief Operating Officer Ennismore, the General Manager will lead and inspire the Our Habitas Ras Abrouq team to successfully achieve company and property business objectives across operations, guest experience, sales, and brand positioning. The role requires ensuring all departments operate seamlessly and efficiently, overseeing administrative, financial, marketing, and business management affairs. The GM will also be responsible for driving the ongoing success and smooth operation of the property.
Duties &amp; Functions<ul><li>
Maintain a clear and effective focus on day-to-day business objectives while contributing to the strategic development and leadership of Our Habitas Ras Abrouq, aligned with Ennismore&rsquo;s regional goals.</li><li>
Take full accountability for the people, product, and profit of the property&mdash;delivering exceptional guest experiences, maximising revenue through sales and yield management, and identifying opportunities for sustainable growth.</li><li>
Champion innovation to meet both short- and long-term strategic objectives.</li><li>
Provide inspirational leadership by motivating and developing all employees to contribute towards the overall success of the property.</li><li>
Monitor and action guest feedback, including mystery guest programmes, to ensure continuous improvement.</li><li>
Maintain regular communication with the Chief Operating Officer to influence the hotel&rsquo;s strategic direction.</li><li>
Ensure adherence to company reporting, control systems, and compliance standards.</li><li>
Lead, develop, and empower employees to deliver operational best practices, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency, service quality, and brand standards.</li><li>
Ensure the property is staffed with skilled, motivated team members capable of meeting the elevated service expectations set by Our Habitas.</li><li>
Continuously review and update control systems, ensuring a consistently safe and welcoming environment for guests, employees, contractors, and visitors.</li><li>
Be a visible and active member of the local community, positioning Our Habitas Ras Abrouq as a positive and responsible contributor within the marketplace.</li></ul> 
Qualifications<ul><li> 
Minimum of 7-10 years&rsquo; experience as a General Manager in ultra-luxury, lifestyle, or experiential hospitality brands, with a proven record of delivering exceptional operational and financial results.</li><li>
Experience working in culturally diverse environments, with a strong preference for Middle East experience.</li><li>
Strong customer orientation with high emotional intelligence, credibility, and a deep sense of accountability.</li><li>
Exceptional stakeholder management skills, including local community and government relations.</li><li>
Leadership skills that inspire, unify, and drive teams to deliver excellence in guest experience and business performance.</li><li>
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>
Proficiency in Arabic language is highly desirable.</li><li>
A passion for sustainable, purpose-driven hospitality.</li></ul>
