Position Overview</b></div><div>
The Solutions Manager is the key driver for the guest experience and leading a selling culture in the Pet Care Center, through the lens of Petco&rsquo;s vision of &ldquo;Healthier Pets. Happier People. Better World.&rdquo; The Solutions Manager is the Selling Model champion and role model for all relationship building touch points with Petco guests. The Solutions Manager will coach and mentor all Pet Care Center partners in the culture of selling and engagement to support and drive the customer experience. The Solutions Manager assists the General Manager in hiring, developing, scheduling, and managing a high-performing team that consistently delivers top-line sales growth across all Pet Care Center categories including services; as well as assists in managing all aspects of the Pet Care Center&rsquo;s business in accordance with Petco operational standards and safety procedures.</div><div><b>
Position Responsibilities

Accountable for driving the implementation and execution of guest-centric programs such as nutrition standards, companion animal sales, seasonal promotions, and services to meet and exceed sales targets.</li><li>
Leads with an Omni Channel sales mindset to solve for the guest needs. (Examples include, but are not limited to: Services, Vet Services, Loyalty Programs, BOPUS, Endless Aisle, and Repeat Delivery).</li><li>
Accountable as Leader on Duty for supporting Pet Care Center execution, training, communication and implementation of company initiatives, programs, policies, procedures, safety practices, guest escalations and promotions.</li><li>
Process register transactions in a way that creates a great experience for each guest.</li><li>
Be a role model within our selling model and support guest interactions as needed.</li><li>
Accountable for recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, validation, recognition, performance management and development of all directly reporting partners required to run the Pet Care Center efficiently and to Petco standards, including the effective execution of selling and service behaviors.</li><li>
Ensure the weekly schedule is written effectively to maximize sales floor coverage and guest engagement utilizing Petco selling behaviors.</li><li>
Promote a positive leadership culture of teamwork, inclusion and collaboration by establishing priorities and providing clear direction aligned across all departments that demonstrates an extreme passion for people and pets.</li><li>
Responsible for the ongoing replenishment and brand standards in partnership with the operations team within the Pet Care Center.</li><li>
Solution Managers are expected to display and champion the Petco Leadership Expectations.</li></ul><div><b>

Education and Experience</b></div><ul><li>
A high school diploma or its equivalent required; some college level business/management courses preferred.</li><li>
2 or more years of management experience or the equivalent is required, with 3 or more years preferred.</li><li>
Must be licensed to operate a motor vehicle.</li><li>
Proficiency in communication skills, organizational skills, and computer skills required to include: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other applications as needed.</li><li>
Demonstrates proficiency in areas of general business practices, basic business &amp; finance acumen, analysis and problem-solving skills, and high focus on people development &amp; guest service.</li><li>

Supervisory Responsibility</b></div><ul><li>
The Solutions Manager directly supervises the Solutions LOD, Solutions Generalists, Solutions Specialists Grooming Salon Leader and Dog Trainers.</li><li>
The Solutions Manager will work in close partnership and be responsible for influencing the Vetco and Vet Hospital guest strategies.</li><li>
Attract, hire, and retain top selling focused talent; participate in new partner and leader interviews and selection.</li></ul><div><b>
Work Environment</b></div><div>
This role is expected to provide support during key sales hours, with weekend availability. Most job duties are conducted indoors, although occasional merchandise stocking, customer carry-outs, and bank deposits will require that a partner leave the Pet Care Center briefly. Because this position requires bending, kneeling, moving merchandise (up to 50 pounds, as necessary) and standing for long periods of time, there may be risk of injury resulting from failure to follow safety precautions and procedures. A limited amount of travel will be required.</div><div><b>
Contacts
</b></div><div>This position has continuous contact with the general public at the Pet Care Center and at Pet Care Center -related events, and regular contact and exchange of information with other departments in the field, Distribution Centers, and at the Support Centers. Contact outside of PETCO may be required in order to coordinate merchandise returns, ordering parts, Pet Care Center repairs, coordination of vaccination clinics, Pet Care Center events, vendor meetings, etc.</div><div><b>

As an Operations Specialist in Animal Care, your role will be to ensure that proper animal care and husbandry is being provided for all companion animals and aquatic life in the Pet Care Center (PCC). You&rsquo;ll be the primary resource regarding animal care and maintenance. This position will support the achievement of the PCC's budgeted sales and shrink goals. You&rsquo;ll ensure our merchandising and inventory strategies are executed across the Pet Care Center with your primary focus in companion animals and aquatic life. You will ensure the efficient and effective operations of the Pet Care Center in close partnership with the sales team to meet the needs of the guest and their pet/s. You can excel in this role by exhibiting a passion for the welfare, health, and proper care of animals as well as being a positive partner within the whole Pet Care Center team.</div><div><b>

Efficiently orders companion animals and aquatic life, supplies and merchandise in partnership with the sales team to maximize sales, margin, and inventory.</li><li>
Analyzes department inventory management data and recommends areas for improvement.</li><li>
Perform routine housekeeping tasks as required to maintain the professional image and appearance of the companion animal habitat and aquatic areas, to include sweeping/mopping the floors, dusting, cleaning the tanks, facing the merchandise on the shelves, etc.</li><li>
Ensures the proper handling and documentation for all relinquished and adoption animals.</li><li>
Verifies animal related maintenance tasks are being completed as outlined on the Maintenance Schedules.</li><li>
Participates in the completion of all animal and aquatic life related physical inventory counts.</li><li>
Adheres to and promotes established safety and loss prevention procedures.</li><li>
Performs additional duties and projects as required or assigned with or without regular supervision.</li></ul><div><b>

Basic Qualifications</b></div><div>
Minimum of one year of experience working with and/or caring for companion animals and aquatic life is required for this position. Qualified applicants will possess a high level of knowledge of companion animals and aquatic life and an aptitude for sales techniques. In addition to having a professional appearance and demeanor, applicants must also demonstrate a keen and genuine interest in animals and their care. Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills are necessary due to the nature of interaction with the public and other partners and leaders within the PCC as well as external veterinary partners.</div><div><b>
Certification</b></div><div>
Completing and maintaining of the Petco Animal Care Certification program is required in this role.</div><div><b>
Education/Skills</b></div><div>
In addition to a high school diploma or its equivalent (GED), an applicant must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the areas of mathematics and basic accounting relationships and exhibit exceptional communication skills.</div><div><b>
Supervisory Responsibility</b></div><ul><li>
Ensures that the Pet Care Center is opened and / or closed in accordance with established P&amp;Ps as it applies to SFS operations.</li><li>
