  What You Will Do
  <br/>

 Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, the Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides basic and advanced nursing care for an assigned group of patients based upon competence and experience. Responsibilities will include basic PCT duties, such as routing personal care, changing linens, vital signs, transport, ambulation, etc. The PCT is an essential part of the care team. The PCT helps support emotional and physical needs of patients. The ideal applicant would demonstrate excellent customer service skills, and ability to multitask. The PCT is a positive role model and promotes teamwork.

 Ability to read, write and do simple math. Ability to follow instructions.

  Preferred Education

 Good communication skills. Basic computer skills. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit.

 BLS; Nurses Aid certification, completion of one year formal RN coursework (e.g. one year of AND or junior year of BSN program) or one year of in hospital PCT experience

What you will do:</b></div><div>
Supervises the endoscopy/operating room staff and schedules adequate staff to meet the surgery schedule needs. Interviews and hires new staff, facilitates peer interviewing. Facilitates the education of staff and evaluates their competency. The manager has a 24-hour, 7 days a week responsibility to provide leadership, management, administration and supervision for the unit and staff. This includes planning, organizing, staff development, performance management, quality fiscal and information management, regulatory compliance, daily operations, building and enhancing relationships through customer relations and appropriate professional involvement. The manager will work closely with directors, ancillary staff, managers, medical directors, medical department chairs, physicians and other disciplines to develop services and ensure quality.</div><div></div><div><b>
Required Education:</b></div><div>
Bachelor of Science in Nursing</div><div><br>
