SUMMARY
The Substation Electrician I will report directly to the General Foreman and will play an integral role in supporting the construction, maintenance, and repair of substation systems and equipment. This is an entry-level position designed to provide hands-on training and the opportunity to learn all aspects of substation operations. The role will involve assisting with the installation, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. As part of the on-the-job training, the Substation Electrician I ,will develop skills in working with transformers, circuit breakers, switches, relays, and other substation components. The position is ideal for individuals seeking to gain experience and advance their careers in the electrical power industry.
This position requires full-time on-site presence and 100% travel. Any remote work arrangements must receive prior approval from your direct supervisor or company leadership. Working hours shall be determined based on project requirements and business needs, in consultation with the employee's supervisor.

Installation and Maintenance:
<ul><li>Learn the installation process and proper maintenance techniques for HV and LV equipment within substations. Examples:<ul><li>

Learn the necessary skills of reading and interpreting schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams and construction drawings.</li></ul></li></ul>

Assist in excavation, backfilling, and site preparation for substations.</li><li>
Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools in good working order.</li></ul></li></ul>

Maintain cleanliness of the job site and equipment.</li><li>
Report deficiencies or issues to supervisory staff promptly.</li><li>
Work effectively with other crew members to ensure smooth operations on-site.</li><li>
Follow all safety procedures when working around energized equipment.</li></ul></li></ul> 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>
2 years of recent electrician experience as a Substation helper or equivalent.</li><li>
Diploma/certificate from High School, GED, or Line School.</li><li>
Must be at least 18 years of age.</li><li>
Valid driver&rsquo;s license and ability to obtain a Class A CDL.</li><li>
Safety certifications (e.g., flagger training, OSHA certifications) are a plus.</li></ul> 
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS<ul><li>
This role involves heavy physical work, including lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds regularly.</li><li>
The job requires standing, walking, using tools, and climbing or balancing as part of the daily tasks.</li><li>
Work performed outdoors with exposure to varying weather conditions</li><li>
Travel is required up to 95% of the time to different job sites.</li><li>
Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including hard hats, safety glasses, and fire-retardant clothing.</li></ul>

SUMMARY
The Logistics Coordinator &ndash; Interconnection will support material tracking and delivery for substation construction and interconnection projects. This role focuses on ensuring timely and accurate coordination of shipments, maintaining documentation, and facilitating vendor communication. The Logistics Coordinator works closely with internal teams and external partners to keep projects on schedule and resolve logistical issues promptly. This position reports to the Logistics Manager - Interconnection.
It is a remote position, working out of your home office and traveling to project sites. Working hours are Monday through Friday, ranging from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time. As necessary, you may be required to work overtime and on weekends. Travel, up to 5% of the time, is expected. 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES

Material Management &amp; Coordination:
<ul><li>Oversee and track material orders to ensure timely delivery and avoid delays.
</li><li>Coordinate the delivery, shipping, and storage of materials to meet interconnection project needs.
</li><li>Ensure vendor services align with purchase order terms and project requirements.
</li><li>Maintain real-time material tracking with locations and delivery dates, accessible to all project teams.
</li></ul></li><li>Reporting &amp; Problem-Solving:
<ul><li>Prepare detailed reports and presentations related to material management, industry trends, and vendor performance.
</li><li>Taking the initiative to problem-solve material delays and communicate expectations to ensure project continuity.
</li></ul></li><li>Vendor &amp; Supply Chain Management:
<ul><li>Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors, fostering effective partnerships.
</li><li>Support supplier qualification, evaluation, and re-evaluation processes for optimal vendor performance.
</li><li>Work with internal teams and vendors to address unacceptable products and ensure timely returns or replacements.
</li></ul></li><li>Collaboration &amp; Coordination:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree or equivalent experience.</li><li>
1&ndash;3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or materials coordination.</li><li>
Familiarity with shipping processes and vendor communication.</li><li>
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.</li><li>
Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills.</li><li>
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.</li><li>
Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.</li><li>
Willingness to travel occasionally for job-related activities.</li></ul>
