The Traffic Coordinator supports the daily operations of the traffic department by coordinating shipments, managing inventory allocation, and ensuring accurate documentation for outbound and inbound materials. This role communicates closely with drivers, carriers, sales, and warehouse personnel to maintain efficient load scheduling and on-time deliveries. The Traffic Coordinator also assists with driver safety oversight, regulatory compliance, and operational support to ensure safe and efficient transportation activities.</div><br>

Allocate inventory to outbound loads and ensure accurate material reservations.</div></li><li><div>
Check stock availability and locations for shop personnel via radio communication.</div></li><li><div>
Prepare and complete Bills of Lading (BOLs) and other required shipping documentation.</div></li><li><div>
Enter freight rates into the freight accrual system and maintain accurate shipping records.</div></li><li><div>
Create pre-receiving verifications and monitor inbound material status.</div></li><li><div>
Commit inventory and process cutting and order completion when necessary.</div></li><li><div>
Complete PPO documentation and other operational paperwork as required.</div></li><li><div>
Communicate with drivers and carriers regarding load readiness, delays, and completion times.</div></li><li><div>
Coordinate carrier changes when drivers call off or equipment breakdowns occur.</div></li><li><div>
Communicate daily with sales regarding backorders, load issues, and late deliveries.</div></li><li><div>
Coordinate returned goods and process Return Material Authorizations (RMA).</div></li><li><div>
Prepare loads for upcoming shifts by organizing shipments and posting loads to the shipping board.</div></li><li><div>
Queue orders and print pick lists for upcoming loads.</div></li><li><div>
Review driver logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records to ensure compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations.</div></li><li><div>
Monitor SmartDrive safety events and provide coaching and corrective guidance to drivers as needed.</div></li><li><div>
Coordinate and support driver safety training, including onboarding and refresher training.</div></li><li><div>
Maintain records related to driver safety, compliance, and coaching activities.</div></li><li><div>
Provide coverage for other traffic coordinators during absences when needed.</div></li></ul><br>

Strong customer service mindset with the ability to provide professional, responsive support to internal teams, drivers, carriers, and customers.</div></li><li><div>
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly convey information, coordinate with multiple departments, and address issues in a timely and professional manner.</div></li><li><div>
Proficiency in computer systems, including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and general computer applications</div></li><li><div>
Ability to learn and effectively use internal systems such as Eniteo or other transportation and logistics software.</div></li><li><div>
Knowledge of shipping, traffic, and logistics operations in a warehouse or distribution environment.</div></li><li><div>
Basic understanding of DOT/FMCSA regulations and driver compliance requirements preferred.</div></li><li><div>
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced operational environment.</div></li><li><div>
Attention to detail when preparing documentation, reviewing driver logs, and maintaining operational records.</div></li></ul></div><div></div>
