Job Description 
The Proofreader position is responsible for reviewing legal documents for grammar and verbiage corrections.
(* denotes an &ldquo;essential function&rdquo;)<ul><li>*Identify and correct spelling, grammar, and verbiage errors in complex legal documents.</li><li>*Detect formatting and compositional errors in documents.</li><li>*Check corrected proofs of legal documents against mark-up for comparison and quality assurance.</li><li>Assist the Document Services team with document production and preparation as needed.</li><li>Handle sensitive and/or confidential documents and information.</li><li>Communicate with manager and client on job or deadline issues.</li><li>Adhere to Williams Lea policy in addition to client site policy.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul> 
Qualifications<ul><li> 
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in English/Journalism preferred or equivalent work experience required.</li><li>Minimum (1) year proofreading experience preferably in a legal, banking or large corporate environment</li><li>Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint desired.</li><li>Knowledge of a legal timekeeping or job tracking system is preferred.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.</li><li>Strong attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality.</li><li>Ability to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.</li><li>Must have good organizational skills</li><li>Ability to handle sensitive and/or confidential documents and information</li><li>Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing</li><li>Must be self-motivated with a positive attitude</li><li>Proven customer service skills are required in order to create, maintain and enhance customer relationships</li></ul> 
Additional Information 
The salary range for this role at the noted RRD location is $16.50-17.50/ hour. Starting pay decisions 
are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, 
skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location, and other business 
needs. Typically, roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Depending on 
the role, in addition to the hourly rate of pay, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and/or stand-by pay. RRD&rsquo;s benefit offerings include

Shift: Tues - Sat, 3:00PM-11:30PM
Pay: $22.42 plus $2.00 shift premium
Training: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm, 3-4 weeks
Hybrid: 3 days on site and 2 days remote (eligible post 90 day probation period)
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming requests to the department for various word processing-related projects such as formatting, proofreading, editing, the styling of documents, printing, and conversion or saving documents to images (PDF)</li><li>
Coordinate, assign, distribute, prioritize, track and expedite workload to the department</li><li>
Interface with requesters to gather detailed information in order to better understand the nature and requirements of assignments</li><li>
Analyze requests to determine how tasks should be performed and engage the appropriate resource for completion</li><li>
Direct requests to proper resources and coordinate with local and off-site office services</li><li>
Assist with proofreading tasks and quality control analysis during heavy volume periods</li><li>
Deliver projects within a reasonable, negotiated timeframe</li><li>
Perform other related duties and assist with special projects as assigned</li><li>
Maintain thorough knowledge of all firm-supported software packages</li><li>
Other duties as assigned</li></ul>

RR Donnelley is adding a Legal Document Specialist to their 3rd Shift team!
In this role, we are seeking a Word Processing professional to support time-sensitive project requests by working with a team of individuals across multiple shifts and locations. Candidates must enjoy producing quality work and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Knowledge in legal word/document processing using various legal software, tools, Microsoft Office suite is an added advantage.
3rd Shift Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 11:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.
Hourly Pay Rate: $19.19
This role is eligible for a $3/hr. shift premium.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Create, edit and format legal documents to firm specifications using a variety of software applications</li><li>
Convert, clean and format documents to/from different file formats</li><li>
Create charts, graphs, tables, and spreadsheets as requested</li><li>
Create and/or edit Tables of Authorities and Table of Contents</li><li>
Perform data entry utilizing various software applications</li><li>
Transcribe analog or digital dictation files</li><li>
Restore/recover corrupted document files as necessary</li><li>
Provide telephone help desk support to troubleshoot application queries</li><li>
Complete all assigned jobs by the deadline in an accurate and timely manner</li><li>
Handle sensitive and/or confidential documents and information</li><li>
Follow established policies and procedures at all times</li><li>
Perform additional duties as necessary or assigned</li></ul> 

Qualifications

Transcription experience a plus</li><li>
Knowledge of legal terminology and legal citations preferred</li></ul>
