The Scarlet Knights are members of the prestigious Big Ten Conference, the nation&rsquo;s premier academic and athletic conference, after officially joining the league on July 1, 2014. Known as &ldquo;The Birthplace of College Football, Rutgers hosted Princeton on Nov. 6, 1869 in the first intercollegiate football game, with RU earning a 6-4 victory.</div>

<div><div>Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Assistant Manager &ndash; Events &amp; Operations for Athletics Events &ndash; Operations department. This position works under the immediate direction of the Associate Athletic Director of Events &amp; Scheduling.</div><div></div><div><br>
Among the key duties of the position are the following:</div><ul>
<li>Manages the provision of the logistical, facility and game operations needs and requests of assigned Olympic sports&rsquo; programs as well as responsible for scheduling and monitoring activities in all athletic facilities.</li>
<li>Oversees the daily programmatic needs and requests of our Olympic Sports Programs.</li>
<li>Interacts on a daily basis with assigned Olympic Sports Coaches in responding to their programmatic and facility needs and requests.</li>
<li>Handles, carries out and coordinates all aspects of home events for the sports which includes on site supervision of staff and facility preparation.</li>
<li>Manages and oversees the operations of various events including athletic competitions, special university functions, and non-university related events.</li>
<li>Assists with all aspects of game management and facility operations for home football games including, but not limited to, coordinating game officials transportation, visiting team logistics, concourse management, credentialing and tracking parking pass distribution.</li>
<li>Recruits, hires, trains, and supervises yearly interns and student workers.</li>
<li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li>
