<div><p>SBM Management is hiring a <b>Human Resources Generalist</b>. The Human Resources Generalist will responsible for administering policies and procedures relating to all phases of human resources activity.</p><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Responsibilities</b></h2><ul><li>
Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions; ensure organizational policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance</li><li>
Recruit, interview, test and select employees to fill vacant positions</li><li>
Plan and conduct new employee orientation</li><li>
Maintain records of personnel transactions: hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting</li><li>
Assist in daily benefits administration to include enrollments, terminations, changes, employee inquiries and monthly reports</li><li>
Handle leave administration for designated sites</li><li>
Addresses employees' concerns, union grievances and perform all necessary investigations with recommendations for disciplinary action of violation of any company policies.</li><li>
Advise management on appropriate resolutions for employer relations issues</li><li>
Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs</li><li>
Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation; conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations</li><li>
Provide monthly departmental reports</li><li>
Some travel may be required for this position</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Qualifications</b></h2><ul><li>
Ability to speak effectively in front of groups of customers or employees</li><li>
Knowledge of HRIS Human Resource systems, Excel Spreadsheets and Word Processing software</li><li>
Union Experience is a plus</li><li><b>
Must be bilingual: English/ Spanish</b></li><li><b>
This role is on site daily</b></li></ul><p><b>
Compensation: $73,000 - $75,000 per year</b>
