Job Overview
The Distribution Specialist will be responsible for warehouse oversight and supporting GMP Manufacturing and Cold Chain Distribution; including but not limited to: Material Handling activities, receiving, replenishment, retrieval, and delivery of work order materials to GMP Manufacturing, and multi-channel order fulfillment of all required materials and products.
Roles &amp; Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.<ul><li>
Work on assignments that are routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required</li><li>
Exercise judgment within defined areas of responsibility; adhere consistently to procedures and practices and defers to supervisors and managers to determine appropriate action</li><li>
Assure compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), applicable regulations and policies in a cGMP environment</li><li>
Ensure all documentation and material ERP transactions are completed following Good Documentation Practices</li><li>
Maintain a safe and secure working environment following all safety procedures</li><li>
Support the Fulfilment and Distribution of Gilead&rsquo;s clinical and commercial finished goods to global regions through pick, pack, and ship activities including packing shipments in appropriate containers, utilizing temperature monitors, preparing shipment documentation, and required labeling</li><li>
Receive all incoming materials and put-away in appropriate designated storage locations (CRT, 2-8c, -20c, etc.)</li><li>
Perform inventory cycle counts and assure inventory is maintained in proper locations with appropriate labeling and segregation</li><li>
Support Manufacturing through fulfillment of Work Orders and Materials Requests (pick appropriate items and deliver to Manufacturing suites)</li><li>
Perform required intra-facility material movements (between locations)</li><li>
Operate machinery to perform, routine physical handling of inventory, including operating a forklift, pallet rider and pallet wrapper</li><li>
Interact with upstream suppliers and downstream customers that will require effective communication. The building of these relationships is critical to the success of the operation and collaboration with others is a core activity</li><li>
Candidate must have the ability to adapt to change and remain flexible in this role and department</li></ul>

Education and/ or Experience
High school diploma/ GED
Previous experience in a warehouse setting preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Required to have valid Driver&rsquo;s license
Forklift and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Certified Completed all safety and task training certifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities<ul><li>
Basic understanding of ERP and/or Warehouse Management Systems (SAP, Oracle EBS, MSCA, Agile, etc.)</li><li>
In depth knowledge of warehouse operations and understanding of cGMPs</li><li>
Ability to utilize MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)</li><li>
Capable of demonstrating a customer service mindset (exceptional behaviors and communication)</li><li>
Ability to think critically, and demonstrate troubleshooting and problem-solving skills</li><li>
Ability to create positive change though process improvement</li><li>
Ability to give, receive and analyze information to reach logical conclusions</li></ul>

Perform Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste.</li><li>
Operate motorized cleaning equipment</li><li>
Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area</li><li>
Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor</li><li>
Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures</li><li>
Stop at risk behavior of others and self</li><li>
Perform work assignments in a team with other employees</li><li>
Perform repetitive tasks</li><li>
Maintain clean work area</li><li>
Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules</li><li>
Take direction and respond to supervision</li><li>
Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner</li><li>
