This BRAND NEW state-of-the-art 120-bed behavioral healthcare hospital is located in Madison, WI. Shorewood Behavioral Health Hospital will specialize in providing comprehensive acute and outpatient psychiatric care for adolescents, adults, and seniors dealing with mental health and substance use disorders. The hospital will offer Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), and Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT), along with the development of specialized programs to meet community need.</p><div></div><div><b><br>
PURPOSE STATEMENT:</b></div><div>
Provide nursing care and services within the standards and scope of nursing practice, as defined within the state Nurse Practice Act regulations, policies, procedures and protocols, as well as facility and corporate policies and procedures. Demonstrate a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.</div>
Responsibilities:
<div><b>
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</b></div><ul><li>Monitor patient health and administer basic care utilizing the nursing process within the LPN/LVN scope of practice in carrying out care plan objectives and goals.</li><li>Role model expectations related to customer service and demonstrates a sense of urgency related to the importance of patient safety.</li><li>Collaborate with others to ensure that patients&rsquo; physical, biopsychosocial, age, developmental and cultural needs are met and when they are not met, acknowledges and works to resolve customer complaints.</li><li>Provide for the basic comfort of patient, implement nursing interventions identified in the plan of care that is individualized to their needs.</li><li>Apply appropriate interventions to progress the patient towards wellness and address maintenance of wellness.</li><li>Discuss the care provided with patient and listen to their concerns. Report status changes and concerns to registered nurses and doctors.</li><li>Communicate therapeutically and professionally with patient, visitors, coworkers and others involved in the patient's treatment in an effective manner.</li><li>Provide for the safe delivery of medication in accordance with policies and procedures, physicians orders and/or current practice.</li><li>Maintain standards of professional nursing practice in accordance with facility policy and procedures, other external governing and credentialing bodies, performance improvement standards and psychiatric nursing standards.</li><li>Responsible for thorough, accurate reporting and documentation of the patient symptoms, responses and progress.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
OTHER FUNCTIONS:</b></div><ul><li>Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.</li></ul>
Qualifications:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:</b></div><ul><li>Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.</li><li>One or more years' of nursing experience within clinical area of service provided by facility preferred.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:</b></div><ul><li>Current LPN/LVN license as required by state.</li><li>CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).</li><li>First aid may be required based on state or facility.</li></ul><div></div><div><br>

We are currently seeking a <b>Full-Time, Inpatient Child &amp; Adolescent Psychiatrist</b> to support our patients receiving specialized psychiatric care.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
About the role:</b></div><div>
The Inpatient Child &amp; Adolescent Psychiatrist will be responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization and/or medication.</div><div></div><div><b><br>

Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.</li><li>
Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.</li><li>
Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.</li><li>
Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
</li><li>Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.</li><li>
Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.</li><li>
Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.</li><li>
One or more years&rsquo; post graduate degree practice preferred.</li><li>
Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.</li></ul><p><b>
Licenses/Certifications:</b></p><ul><li>
Board certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry required.</li><li>
Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
