About the Role
SMB Services is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant for a US-based client. The role involves managing end-to-end accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy, and delivering timely financial insights to support business decision-making.
This position requires strong technical accounting expertise, hands-on ERP experience, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with international (US-based) stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting &amp; Reporting
<ul><li>Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
</li><li>Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
</li><li>Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies
</li><li>Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies efficiently</li> 
</ul>Tax &amp; Regulatory Support
<ul><li>Assist in preparation and review of federal, state, and indirect tax filings
</li><li>Support compliance with US tax and statutory requirements
</li><li>Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities
</li><li>Maintain accurate documentation for audits and compliance reviews</li> 
</ul>Systems &amp; Process Management
<ul><li>Use ERP systems (SAP or equivalent) for accounting transactions and reporting
</li><li>Support improvements in accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting efficiency
</li><li>Assist in system audits, data validation, and control reviews</li> 
</ul>Business Support &amp; Analysis
<ul><li>Provide financial insights and reports to support management decision-making
</li><li>Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams on cost control and financial planning initiatives</li> 
</ul>Requirements
<ul><li>ACCA / CA (Part Qualified or Finalist preferred) or Bachelor&rsquo;s/Master&rsquo;s degree in Accounting or Finance
</li><li>4&ndash;6 years of experience in accounting, audit, or tax roles
</li><li>Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
</li><li>Experience with ERP systems (SAP or similar) is a plus
</li><li>US Tax experience is mandatory</li>
