 We are looking for a Designer- for a mens and womens lifestyle fashion company in New York City. You will design for licensed sports, entertainment and hospitality apparel brands and implement the category leader's direction in all aspects of the design process, graphic art, print and pattern design from initial concept stage to presentation, to development and execution of the final product. This position is temp to perm in the New York office.
 
 
 
 Responsibilities:
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Work directly under category design director to design and manage multiple product platforms that answers product and merchandising brief, price point and margin target. Collaborate with cross-functional design partners.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop and execute clear and detailed sketches, technical packages, and bill of materials
 </li>
 <li>
 Work within an integrated team of design, development, and product line management; act as key point of contact at pod meetings, lab dip approvals and fittings. Make key decisions related to product and procedures
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate on creation and presentation of category content (merch pages, decks, mood boards, trim and fabric boards)
 </li>
 <li>
 Present work to leadership at key milestone meetings including style design review and go to market; present regularly to cross functional partners at design check points
 </li>
 <li>
 Oversee design and color updates; flat sketches, techpacks and bill of materials
 </li>
 <li>
 Influence category policies and procedures related to design
 </li>
 <li>
 Mentor and coach junior level teammates
 
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Required Qualifications:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Passion every day to design compelling, elevated and cutting-edge product.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to understand construction and materials; preferably versed in manufacturing techniques.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to express concepts and ideas through sketching.
 </li>
 <li>
 Presentation skills and comfortable working with a group.
 </li>
 <li>
 Must be detail oriented, able to prioritize tasks and to successfully meet multiple deadlines
 </li>
 <li>
 BA, BFA or BS in Apparel Design
 </li>
 <li>
 5-7+ years of experience; Industry experience preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and Centric PLM

Designer- Mens and Womens Lifestyle Apparel Brand

 We are looking for an Assistant Print and Color Designer with apparel experience for a top fashion company in New York City. Work within a specific classification and implement the category leader's direction in all aspects of the design process, trend research, print, pattern, color and concept design, following up through development and execution of the final product. This is a hybrid position located in New York, NY and requires 3 days onsite.
 
 
 
 Responsibilities:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Work with closely concept team in order to create print artwork that accurately reflects the desired aesthetic.
 </li>
 <li>
 Redesign core print designs in order to meet the needs of specific garments.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare production files for artwork that meet the expectations of our mills without sacrificing the aesthetic.
 </li>
 <li>
 Effectively communicate and collaborate with cross functional partners.
 </li>
 <li>
 Execute artwork, color and print, pitching and editing.
 </li>
 <li>
 Produce CAD designs and explanatory visuals for vendors.
 </li>
 <li>
 Own on-going communication with vendors and other partners.
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage color and print database.
 </li>
 <li>
 Analyze provided color, print and pattern direction; interpret and adapt for PC program proposals.
 
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Required Qualifications:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor's degree in Design or equivalent experience
 </li>
 <li>
 2-3 years of Textile design experience
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency in the latest releases of Illustrator and Photoshop.
 </li>
 <li>
 Must have strong communication and organizational skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to multitask and meet overlapping deadlines
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work on teams
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work in a high volume, detail-oriented studio or fashion company
