The Safe at Home Liaison plays a vital role in executing outreach activities to increase awareness and compliance for the Safe at Home program within the Ohio Secretary of State's office. The Liaison will work closely with the Safe at Home Administrator to ensure that everyone eligible for the program is aware of how they can join, build partnerships with local organizations in the community, and deliver the highest degree of service.</p><div><b>
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</b><br>
Outreach Activities<br>
<ul><li>Conduct outreach to raise awareness of the Safe at Home program.</li><li>Engage with eligible individuals and ally organizations.</li></ul></div><div><b>
Collaboration with Government Entities</b><br>
<ul><li>Meet with local government entities (judicial, prosecutor, law enforcement, etc.).</li><li>Collaborate with Board of Elections and Jobs and Family Services.</li></ul></div><div><b>
Participation in Events</b><br>
<ul><li>Attend partner association meetings, events, and conferences.</li><li>Build and maintain relationships with local businesses for Ohio Businesses Against Trafficking.</li></ul></div><div><b>
Training and Support</b><br>
<ul><li>Recruit and assist in developing training for application assistants.</li><li>Serve as an application assistant for victims as needed.</li><li>Collaborate with the Safe at Home Administrator to deliver training on the program&rsquo;s requirements.</li></ul></div><div><b>
Confidentiality and Communication</b><br>
<ul><li>Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity regarding participant information.</li><li>Respond to inquiries from application assistants, participants, and the public via phone and email.</li></ul></div><div><b>
Program Management</b><br>
<ul><li>Process mail as needed.</li><li>Prepare reports, presentations, and materials for program evaluation and improvement.</li></ul></div><div><b>
Legal and Resource Knowledge</b><br>
<ul><li>Stay informed on laws, regulations, and resources concerning domestic violence, human trafficking, and sexual violence.</li></ul></div><div><b>
Site Visits and Promotion</b><br>
<ul><li>Conduct NVRA site visits to local libraries and BMV locations, distributing posters and brochures.</li></ul></div><div><b>
Policy and Legislation</b><br>
<ul><li>Provide input into policy and legislation related to the program.</li></ul></div><div><b>
Travel Requirements</b><br>
<ul><li>Travel for outreach and training may require overnight stays.</li></ul></div><div><b>

Safe at Home Liaison Northeast

<ul>
<li>Conducting statewide overt and covert criminal investigations in Ohio casinos and illegal casinos.</li>
<li>Conducting surveillance (audio, video, visual and photographic).</li>
<li>Preparing and submitting detailed investigative reports for criminal and/or regulatory violations.</li>
<li>Authoring and preparing detailed search warrants for presentation to the proper court jurisdiction.</li>
<li>Compiling intelligence information and preparing detailed reports for submission to internal and external intelligence personnel.</li>
<li>Interviewing victims, witnesses and subjects for criminal and regulatory investigations.</li>
<li>Collecting, preserving and properly securing evidence for processing.</li>
<li>Preparing criminal cases for presentation to Prosecutors up to and including testimony in the Grand Jury and Courtroom.</li>
<li>Serving as liaison to and works with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.</li>
<li>Verifying casino/gaming equipment for compliance with Commission rules and regulations.</li>

Qualifications</b><div>
3.5 yrs. law enforcement or equivalent military law enforcement experience; OPOTC; &amp; valid driver&rsquo;s license.

7-day-a-week operation that includes two shifts, the schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts with three days off (days off are on a rotating schedule).<br>

Compensation:</b></p><p>

Gaming Enforcement Agent

<p></p><div><div><p>The Ohio Attorney General's Office is currently seeking an experienced and motivated candidate for an Assistant Attorney General position in the Health Care Fraud Section.
</p><p>The Attorney General's Office battles fraud in the health care industry through the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit and the Workers' Compensation Fraud Unit. The Medicaid Fraud Control Unit is responsible for the investigation and prosecution of health care providers accused of defrauding the state's Medicaid program. In addition, this Unit enforces Ohio's Patient Abuse and Neglect Law, which protects the mentally and physically disabled and the elderly from neglect and abuse in Ohio's long-term care facilities. The Workers' Compensation Fraud Unit is responsible for prosecuting claimants, employers, and health care providers who defraud the Ohio Workers' Compensation Program.</p>
<p>
Successful candidates will work independently and possess excellent research and writing skills. Criminal Law experience is a plus. This position will work a hybrid in-person/remote schedule. There may be changes to this schedule based on training and operational needs. The headquarter location is our Columbus Office.</p>
<p>
Duties include but are not limited to the following:</p>
<ul><li>Prosecute, present cases to the grand jury, and handle all trial and appellate matters related to allegations of fraud against the Medicaid program and patient abuse and neglect in care facilities; as well as allegations of fraud against the Ohio Workers Compensation program.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Appears in public or private, formal or informal settings to discuss law and policy; fulfills exclusive authorization of Attorney General to practice law on behalf of state personnel</li></ul>
<ul><li>Enforces state laws and regulations concerning health, safety, welfare, crime and civil statutes</li></ul>
<ul><li>Drafts and reviews legal documents (e.g. motions, briefs, etc.)</li></ul>
