The contact may include reviewing the use of alco-sensors, electronic monitoring equipment, urinalysis testing, and surveillance.</div><br>

You will assist an offender in the development of personal internal controls through review of an offender's relapse plan, thinking reports, or journal, as well as participation in a treatment group. Conducts collateral contracts with family members and others. In collaboration with the team, evaluates an offender's performance in relation to stages of change to determine contact standards. Provides Probation and Parole Officers and supervision team with input from field contacts for case plan development or modification. Provides perspective from field contacts to the supervision team and the assigned offender for Case Planning conferences (CPC).</div><br>

You may take emergency actions with local law enforcement agencies, up to and including re-incarceration, subject to review of the supervisor. May monitor the performance of offenders assigned to a correctional facility. Prepares written reports such as affidavits, incident reports, running records, and furloughs on assigned offenders' caseloads. May be required to testify in court or at parole board hearings. Communications Coordinator II

The Human Services Board is currently seeking a new Administrative Services Technician IV to provide support to our team. This position is based at our main office in Montpelier, VT. The Human Services Board receives, schedules and hears appeals from certain programs within the Agency of Human Services. This position mainlyprovides high level clerical support - including appeal intake, editing memoranda and recommended orders, drafting form letters and hearing notices, filing, copying, mailing, and having phone/email contact with the public/appellants, administrative staff, and hearing officers. You will have frequent contact with members of the public, board members, and attorneys.<br>
Ideal candidates for this position will have some experience working in a law office or similar environment and strong editing and proofreading skills. You should also be a strong communicator, both over the phone and in writing. Good computer skills and familiarity with MS Outlook email and calendaring, as well as a working knowledge of MS Word and Excel, are needed. The Board's case management system runs on a Salesforce platform; while this position requires becoming familiar with this system, previous experience with Salesforce is not required.<br>
This position reports directly to our Legal Hearing &amp; Support Specialist and will work closely with other staff as well. The position is based on-site but with some potential for partial remote work.</div></div></div><div><div><div><b>

An Emergency Communications Dispatcher (ECD) receives voice and text requests for police, fire, and medical services. The incumbent in this position determines the nature, urgency, and jurisdiction of a report and either dispatches first responders or transfers the call to the appropriate jurisdiction. The ECD documents information in Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) software and provides updates via phone or radio as needed. Environmental Factors</b></div>

Due to the nature of this work, candidates with 100% loss of sight, hearing ability, or with major speech impediments will not be considered. Eligibility determination of candidates with a less severe disability will be made on an individual basis. the needs of the department, mandatory overtime may be necessary. The work is performed in an office environment at a computer workstation using different desktop computer systems, answering multiple phone lines and radio channels to process emergent and non-emergent calls for service. Employees regularly interact with extremely distressed individuals and unpleasant situations in graphic detail. Workload can change at a moment&rsquo;s notice and the incumbent needs to be able to react calmly. The work environment includes mandatory overtime; rotating shifts covering 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays; frequent changes in multi-jurisdictional policies and procedures, and changes in equipment. Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job including frequently remain stationary for long periods of time; frequently operate a computer and other office machinery such as a keyboard, mouse, phone, and fax machine; receive and communicate accurate information in a stressful or confrontational environment.</div>

Minimum Qualifications</b></div>
</div><div><div>
One (1) year or more of experience in public safety, first response, or as an emergency dispatcher or telecommunicator.</div>
<div>OR</div>
<div>Two (2) or more years of experience as a non-emergency dispatcher, or in a customer service or administrative role that includes significant contact with the public.</div>
</div></div><div><div><div><b>
Preferred Qualifications</b></div>
</div><div><div>
High school diploma or equivalent.<br>
Vermont E911 Call Taker Certification.<br>
Experience running license, registration, and criminal history queries.<br>
Experience entering NCIC information.<br>
Experience as a First Responder.</div>

Special Requirements</b></div>
</div><div><div>
Performance requirement: Applicants must pass a Department of Public Safety administered computer based &quot;CritiCall&quot; test, which assesses computer and other job related skills.<br>
Certification by the E-911 Board as a telecommunicator may be required within six months of entry into the job.<br>
All candidates must pass a security clearance conducted by the Department of Public Safety.</div>
