Position Summary</b></h2>
</div><div><p>
The Service Engineer position within the Life Science Service Engineering group is a critical role focused on ensuring the serviceability, reliability and performance of our Life Science Equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting technical assessments, developing service documentation and equipment qualification documentation, supporting troubleshooting efforts, and developing and delivering training to internal teams and Customers. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally and directly influence product functionality, quality, and Customer satisfaction.</p></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
What You'll do as a Service Engineer</b></h2>
</div><div><ul><li>Develop and maintain service documentation including Installation Qualification/Operation Qualification (IQOQ) protocols, Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) protocols, Manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and field service procedures</li>
<li>Collaborate with engineering, quality, and service teams to gather technical data and ensure accurate documentation.</li>
<li>Troubleshoot and analyze complex technical issues</li>
<li>Support validation activities by providing documentation and technical expertise.</li>
<li>Participate in new product development process assuring that all service requirements are completed prior to product release (service documentation and procedure development, service training and tracking of equipment performance).</li>
<li>Participate in design reviews focused on serviceability and reliability of Life Science Equipment.</li>
<li>Act as a technical escalation point for assigned products, providing support as needed.</li>
<li>Identify and implement service process improvements.</li>
<li>Deliver service and maintenance training to technical support staff, field service representatives, and Customers.</li>
<li>Develop service kits and qualify replacement parts.</li>
<li>Maintain and update related databases to ensure accurate tracking of product performance and service history.</li>
<li>Support continuous improvement initiatives and uphold Customer satisfaction goals.</li>
<li>Maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies and the Code of Business Conduct.</li>
</ul></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>The Experience, Abilities and Skills Needed</b></h2>
</div><div><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in engineering or related field (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering preferred).</li>
<li>Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and interpret a variety of technical data and documents.</li>
<li>Experience in servicing electronic and electromechanical equipment.</li>
<li>Experience with equipment qualification and protocol development.</li>
<li>Familiarity with database maintenance and data tracking systems.</li>
<li>Strong technical writing and documentation skills</li>
<li>Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical abilities</li>
<li>Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access).</li>
<li>Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical data</li>
<li>Experience with industrial PLC and/or PC controls (Allen Bradley and Siemens) platforms.</li>

Are you mechanically inclined with a knack for hands-on work? Do you enjoy a flexible schedule and working independently, but also have the support of a team? The Equipment Service Technician is a remote based Customer facing employee, primarily working inside hospitals. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing medical equipment. Individuals with experience working in HVAC repair, Mechanics, Maintenance, Refrigeration, Boilers, Chillers, Equipment Repair, Diesel and Automotive Repair, Aviation Repair, Plumbing, Electrical, etc. are often successful.</p></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
What you'll do as an Equipment Service Technician II
</b></h2></div><div><ul><li>Perform fundamental troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of STERIS and competitor equipment, systems and components.</li>
<li>Manage time effectively by prioritizing Customer and business needs and schedules autonomously to complete PM performance, service calls, warranty calls, equipment installations, field upgrade programs and other duties.</li>
<li>Work with cross functional teams (Tech Support, Engineering and Service Contract Management), to escalate issues appropriately and utilizes advanced technology platforms to complete compliance regulatory requirements, and resolve and document troubleshooting issues.</li>
<li>The Technician will provide Customers with information, pricing and repair options. With management support, build relationships with Sales to drive Customer experience and revenue opportunities. Learn to identify sales opportunities in assigned territory.</li>
<li>Provide support to various locations within assigned territory depending on the service agreements and Customer needs.</li>
</ul></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed
</b></h2></div><div><ul><li>High School Diploma or GED with minimum of 6 years of progressive work experience, including 3 years mechanical/technical directly related experience (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, automotive etc.).</li>
<li>Successful in achieving ESS II training and promotional requirements.</li>
<li>Customer and team engagement experience.</li>
<li>Basic computer skills (MS windows/email, navigation, mobile app, data input into multi systems).</li>
<li>Effective written and verbal communication skills.</li>
<li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license and the ability meet all required background and physical assessment elements to obtain &amp; maintain existing and new vendor credentialing requirements.</li>
<li>Ability to work flexible hours, sometimes outside &ldquo;normal business hours&rdquo; and including overnight travel (amount may vary based on district geography).</li>
<li>Ability to establish effective home office (High Speed internet, conducive working space, secure company owned equipment and info).</li></ul><br>
